For the 4th consecutive day, the Income Tax Department has been conducting raids in the companies of film producer Xavier Britto. Xavier, who is actor Vijay’s relative, not only runs a production company, but also runs many other businesses. His company is also involved in importing and exporting internal parts of the Chinese Mobile phone company Xiaomi.
In addition, there are large companies owned by Britto, operating in Mannadi and Royapettah under the name Kerry Indave Logistics, which imports and exports cell phone parts around the world. In these offices, the officials of the IT department have been conducting detailed raids along with Police protection.
The Income Tax Department has been conducting raids in 25 showrooms owned by Xiaomi in Chennai and Bengaluru. A raid was conducted in Britto’s house as well, as he has connections to the brand.
The raid has been going on for the 4th consecutive day with the Income tax department thoroughly combing Xavier Britto’s Royapettah and Mannadi offices.
Raids conducted in Xavier Britto’s Bungalow in Adayar and educational institute’s office in Adambakkam, was concluded in 2 days.
