“This Is Koomuttai! Either Stand On This Side Or That Side, If You Stand In Middle You’ll Get Runover By Lorry” NTK Head Seeman’s Hilarious Roast Of TVK Vijay’s Ideology Of Dravidam + Tamil Nationalism

Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) chief coordinator Seeman, who previously expressed strong support for Kollywood actor turned politician Vijay and referred to him as his brother until past month, has now taken a sharp turn, calling the TVK chief’s political stance a “Koomuttai”. Speaking on the day of Tamil Nadu formation, he criticized Vijay’s political stance, implying that Vijay is straddling two ideologies, Tamil nationalism and Dravidianism, which are contradictory to each other. Seeman stated, “Either stand on that side or this side; standing in the middle risks you getting run over, What bro? It is very wrong bro.”

The recent tension between Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) chief Seeman and Kollywood actor-turned-politician Vijay stems from Vijay’s speech at his party’s inaugural State conference. During his address on 27 October 2024, Vijay proposed an ideology that merges Dravidam with Tamil nationalism. This move was interpreted as an attempt to appeal to both sides, but it did not sit well with Seeman.

Seeman, who plays his cards as a staunch critic of the DMK and Dravidian ideology, has firmly embraced Tamil nationalism as his core principle. He has publicly accused the DMK of undermining Tamil identity, culture, and the interests of the Tamil people, questioning how the two ideologies could coexist.

In a thinly veiled critique of Vijay, Seeman stated, “Fundamentally wrong. It’s not policy, it’s nonsense (Koomuttai)  that too a rotten eggs. Look here, either stand on that side or this side, If you stand in the middle, you’ll get run over by a truck and die.”

He then mocked Vijay, urging him to take a clear stance, by either standing on the side of freedom fighters like Subhas Chandra Bose and Bhagat Singh or colonial figures like Lord Mountbatten. He added that claiming neutrality is disheartening, stating, “What bro? It’s wrong bro.”

He emphasized his awareness of his political rivals before entering the field, asserting, “I don’t just sit in air-conditioned rooms contemplating politics.” He clarified that his statements come from a place of deep passion, noting, “When there’s fire in the heart, words become sparks. Our words reflect the suffering our people have endured for generations.”

Seeman declared that even when our parents oppose our ideology, they become our enemies, indirectly taking a jab at TVK chief Vijay. He emphasized that there can be no compromise in the pursuit of our beliefs, regardless of brotherly ties.

Seeman declared that once he comes to power, he will drive Dravidists away. He mocked the DMK and TVK chief Vijay, saying, “They don’t understand Dravidam, and he doesn’t know what is Tamil nationalism. What a shame! Either stand in the river or in the mud, but standing in both? What is this?”

Seeman emphasized that there is no “brotherly” bond when it comes to ideology, stating that anyone opposing NTK’s principles is an adversary—implying that Vijay stands as an ideological opponent.
