Alleged ‘journalist’ Niranjan Kumar from Tamil mainstream news channel Puthiya Thalaimurai, who often fans north-south divide with his social media posts, has now attempted to incite caste hatred by repeatedly emphasizing on the name “Sagar Sharma”, the name in which one of the culprits entered the Lok Sabha and opened gas cannisters.
The Lok Sabha witnessed a major security breach, leading to the detention of four individuals by the Delhi Police. Two unidentified persons were apprehended after they managed to jump into the Lok Sabha chamber from the visitors’ gallery. Simultaneously, two other individuals, a man and a woman, were detained outside the Parliament for staging a protest using colored smoke.
The security breach comes at a poignant time, coinciding with the anniversary of the 2001 Parliament attack.
According to reports, visitor pass of one of the intruder in the name of ‘Sagar Sharma’ issued by BJP Mysuru MP Pratap Simha has been found.
In light of this, the self-proclaimed ‘journalist’ of Puthiya Thalaimurai tried to incite caste hatred by emphasizing on the name Sagar Sharma as Sharma is a surname that is mostly used by Brahmins.
The tweet of Niranjan Kumar reads as follows:
Big Breaking:

This is not the first time that this Dravidian Stock journalist has attempted to exploit a crisis to peddle divisive agenda.
Niranjan Kumar: A Notorious Fake News Peddler
Earlier in March 2022 when the Government of India was undertaking the high-stakes Operation Ganga to rescue Indian students stuck in war-torn Ukraine, Puthiya Thalaimurai journalist Niranjan Kumar peddled unverified claims that ‘South Indian’ students are allegedly being discriminated in the evacuation operation.
He had peddled fake news that the Modi Government at the Centre had ‘rejected’ Tamil Nadu’s tableau for the Republic Day Parade for not having ‘prominent freedom fighters’ while the fact is that each year only limited number of tableaus from states are selected based on the recommendations of an expert committee appointed by the Ministry of Defence.
The alleged ‘journalist had peddled fake news against BJP candidate of Ward No. 134. Uma Anandan, saying that she had lost by securing just 8 votes while she emerged as a winner with 5635 votes.
In January 2021, he was called out by the Office of Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for peddling fake news saying that the Minister had refused to meet Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami citing budget consultation work.
