#SorryDMK Trends As Pakistan Loses Once Again In Chepauk, DMK & D Stocks Had Earlier Simped For Pak During PakVsAfg Match

Pakistan found themselves in an unfortunate chapter of their World Cup history when they were defeated by South Africa in a thrilling match held in Chennai on October 27.

An exhilarating cricket showdown unfolded between Pakistan and South Africa in Chennai. The game kept fans on the edge of their seats, with South Africa narrowly clinching victory by just one wicket.

Despite a rocky start and the early loss of their opening batsmen, Babar Azam managed to reach a half-century and stabilize the innings. Nevertheless, after his dismissal, Pakistan’s batting lineup crumbled, leading to their dismissal for a total of 270 runs in 46.4 overs. South African spinner Tabraiz Shamsi played a pivotal role in constraining Pakistan’s progress, claiming four crucial wickets.

In response, South Africa faced a demanding chase. Aiden Markram shone with a score of 91, but the team experienced a steady loss of wickets. Even though it appeared that the Proteas were on track for victory with Markram at the crease, a significant batting collapse occurred, reducing South Africa’s score from 204/4 to 260/9.

Keshav Maharaj and Tabraiz Shamsi demonstrated composure and successfully steered their team to victory.

Keshav Maharaj, who is of Indian origin, expressed his gratitude to Lord Hanuman for the historic win on social media.

Several nationalists and pro-India people on social media took to share his picture clad in a veshti at the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Kerala while others pointed out the Om symbol stuck to his bat.

Why Is #SorryDMK Treding?

It is noteworthy to mention that DMK scion Udhayanidhi Stalin (son of DMK President and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin) objected to Indians chanting Jai Shri Ram at Mohammad Rizwan when he was walking back to his pavilion after getting out during the India Vs Pakistan match in Ahmedabad.

Many DMK members including DMK Minister TRB Rajaa and other Dravidianists in social media took to simping for Pakistan when they came to Chennai for the Pakistan Vs Afghanistan match in Chepauk (Udhayanidhi Stalin’s constituency). They went out of their way to show their love for Pakistan. Some of them were also rooting for Pakistan to win the world cup.

Even during this match, Sun News (owned by DMK MP Dayanidhi Maran’s brother Kalanithi Maran) took to sharing bytes of a few members praising Pakistani team. The motive of that byte was apparent – to show Chennai as people who support ‘Pakistan’ team unlike the ‘communal’ crowd outside Tamil Nadu. Many noted that the video was blatant in its attempt to generate sympathy towards the Pakistani team.

In the below byte, the first person says “We feel cheated. We supported Pakistan fully.” and went on to claim that the entire stadium supported Pakistan and blamed the umpire call for Pakistan losing.

Following the back-to-back defeat of Pakistan in Chennai, many on social media took jibes at DMK which had simped for Pakistan.
