Sandhya, a dentist from Kanchipuram, has won the battle against coronavirus in just one week. She had been undergoing Siddha treatment, and tested negative for coronavirus only one week after she had been diagnosed with the infection.
Sandhya had been having trouble breathing and was experiencing mild chest ache since June 28th. She had been given a routine diagnosis when she had gone to the hospital to treat this ailment and was given the medications for common viral fever. When the condition persisted even after having been given an injection to alleviate the symptoms, she had approached a private hospital, where they had said that it was possible that she could have contracted coronavirus. They had further advised her to take a swab test at a nearby government hospital.
The Kanchipuram General Hospital had tested her oxygen level to be 91. Since they had been experiencing a power cut, the doctors there had advised her to return if the symptoms persisted. On July 6th, she tested positive for coronavirus. Following this, she approached the Siddha medical camp that had been put up at Jawahar Engineering College in Virugambakkam. She had been treated using various herbal concoctions by Dr. Veerababu and his team.
It was reported that Sandhya had felt her health returning back to her after just one-week of Siddha treatment. Right afterward, her mother had also been diagnosed with coronavirus, and had also been subjected to Siddha treatment. The mother-daughter duo came back home only a week after having tested positive. This spells hope for Siddha treatment as a potential coronavirus cure.
