After Attending Mass Conversion Event, AAP MLA & Ex-Min Meets VCK MP Known For Making Anti-Hindu Remarks

Former AAP Minister Rajendra Pal Gautham who quit the Kejriwal cabinet after facing flak for participating in a mass religious conversion event, met with VCK chief Thol. Thirumavalavan who is know for making anti-Hindu remarks.

The two leaders exchanged pleasantries with “Jai Bhim” slogan and the VCK MP showered praises for the AAP leader.

“The #AAP minister @AdvRajendraPal who led the recent conversion of 10,000 people to Buddhism in Delhi resigned after BJP protested. We met and appreciated him. Tomorrow we will participate in a rally from his residence to Ambedkar Memorial.”, Thirumavalavan had tweeted.

Thirumavalavan also participated in the rally organized by the AAP MLA from his residence.

 

Thirumavalavan is a serial abuser of Hindus and Hindu Gods. In an online seminar organized by Periyar TV he had said “All women are prostitutes as per Hindu Dharma.. Manu Dharma.”

In November 2019, he was booked for hurting religious sentiments when he made a comment on temples. He had said “if a structure built like a dome it is a Mosque, if there is a tall tower like structure it is a Church, if there are ugly figurines it is a Hindu temple”.

At a book release event held on 9th December 2017, the VCK leader called Thirugnanasambandhar, one of the 63 Nayanmars as a ‘murderer’.

On October 5, AAP MLA (Seemapuri, Delhi) Mr. Rajendra Pal Gautam who was then the Social Welfare Minister in the Delhi cabinet, attended an event where 10,000 Hindus were converted en masse to Buddhism.

Mr.Pal had shared the stage with a saffron-clad man, urging the crowd to disassociate themselves from all manners of Hindu beliefs and worship . He was heard taking B.R Ambedkar’s controversial “22 vows” oath and repeating many of these contentious statements earlier made by saffron-clan man. The anti-Hindu comments and conversion oath included “I renounce Hinduism which is harmful to humanity and impedes the advancement and development of humanity because it is based on inequality.”

Later in an interview to The Hindu he told that he formally embraced Buddhism in the event.

The BJP had condemned the communally divisive comments and alleged that Hindu sentiments were hurt. Rajendra Pal was the Social Welfare Minister in the AAP’s Delhi cabinet, till his recent resignation, in the aftermath of the controversial mass Hindu conversion event . On October 11, Delhi Police summoned the ex-minister for questioning and inquiry into the October 5 religious conversion event.
