Animal activists of Neighborhood Woof, a Delhi based Non-Profit Organization were attacked by an unknown person while they were helping street dogs in Delhi.
Ayesha and her team were brutally beaten up and she said that the Delhi Police refused to take action against the individual who attacked them.
She recorded a video at a Police Station as she was bleeding to explain how it went down. To watch the video, click here.
She says “somebody came to our staff” and spoke badly. In the video, they were seen to be severely injured and their clothes were torn and stained with blood.
Their car was completely damaged with glass shattered on the front side of the car.
She also says that this type of behavior “has become routine in India.” “It happens all the time and this is what we have to deal with every single day,” she adds.
Delhi Commission for Women responded “Our team is in touch,” via Twitter.
“Our team is bruised and shaken , but all okay. We shall be back with an update shortly . If the world has done this to us, we’ve also found our way back on our feet with the help of all standing with us,” they said today via their Facebook handle.
