#PhotoshopStalin: TN CM shares photoshopped image of relief work, deletes tweet later

In an embarrassing moment for Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, the official handle of CM’s office tweeted a photoshopped picture of CM Stalin inspecting relief work in an attempt to cover up the flood situation in CM’s own constituency Kolathur.

The official handle ‘CMO Tamil Nadu’ had posted saying that the CM Stalin was overseeing the flood water draining operations at the junction of Siva Elango Salai and Paper Mills road in Kolathur constituency.

However the image shared by CM Stalin which showed him and Ministers P. Sekar Babu and K. N. Nehru inspecting relief operations turned out to be a photoshopped one. Two different images were superimposed to make it look like the water had drained out.

Soon, netizens pointed out the problematic image and lashed out at the DMK for trying to peddle fake news. Many were taken aback to see a state Chief Minister himself peddling a photoshopped image in order to cover up the mismanagement.

Following this, the CM’s official handle deleted the tweet.

BJP Tamil Nadu President K. Annamalai took a jibe at the DMK government and its CM Stalin saying that Kolathur constituency is a testimony to the falsely constructed ‘Dravidian Development Model’.

This episode adds to the already existing embarrassment of the shoddy handling of the rain situation in the northern districts of Tamil Nadu by the DMK government.
