VCK chief Thirumavalavan insulted during protest for caste census, Mic snatched and made to leave stage

Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) chief Thol. Thirumavalavan was humiliated and sent down stage during a  protest organized by the Social Justice Federation of 146 BC, 115 MBC/DNT communities demanding for caste census.

Thirumavalavan had come to take part in the protest that called on the central and state governments to conduct a caste-wise census and provide reservation to all communities.

The Chidambaram MP who had climbed the stage to speak in support of taking caste-wise census was insulted when one of the organizers snatched the mike from him and asked him to get off the stage.

The crowd below the stage chanted “Don’t allow, don’t allow, don’t allow these politicians” raising their objection to Thirumavalavan’s participation.

“We’ve decided in the general committee that only those who belong to our community should talk about our community. You are from a party. So, you know about the results of the general committee meeting. Therefore, we humbly ask Thirumavalavan to step down from the stage.”, the organizer announced from the stage as the crowd cheered.

Swallowing the humiliation, Thirumavalavan got off the stage and proceeded to his car. Later he can be seen getting angry at one of the member in the crowd while sitting in his car. He later calls alleged farmer ‘Audi’ Ayyakannu who had also accompanied Thirumavalavan in the stage to ask him who was the person who had asked him to get off stage.
