Siva Shankar ‘Baba’ gets summoned by child rights commission once again over sexual harassment allegations by Sushil Hari school students

The Tamil Nadu Commission for Protection of Child Rights (TNCPCR) has issued summons once again to Siva Sankar ‘Baba’ and management of Sushi Hari school over the sexual harassment charges made by girls belonging to the school founded by him.

Siva Shankar Baba, who claims himself to be an incarnation of God, did not appear for the first summons issued by the Commission in this regard.

Reportedly, the self-styled god man, who was on a spiritual tour to Uttarakhand, has suffered a heart attack and has been admitted to hospital in Dehradun, as claimed by his disciples.

“The administrator of Sushil Hari School, Janani (representative of Siva Shankar Baba) had appeared before the commission and informed us that he is in Dehradun for more than a week for a religious trip and that he got a sudden heart attack on the night of June 8 and has undergone a surgery at a hospital in Dehradun. Related medical records, bills and photos were submitted to the commission,” said Dr Saranya Jaikumar, a member of the TNCPCR.

The principal of the school too didn’t appear for the hearing as she had reportedly tested positive for COVID.

The allegations against Shivshankar Baba ranged from molestation, intoxicating minors with alcohol, showing pornography to minors and even rape. He had been accused by many of the alumnae, following which the TNCPCR arrived at the school for enquiries.

Sushil Hari became the sixth school in the city to be summoned in this regard as several sexual harassment allegations sprung up from students in schools all over Chennai.
