DMK spokesperson Tamilan Prasanna’s wife has reportedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her Erukkancherry home due to family problems.
Tamil Prasanna, DMK State Joint Secretary for Media Relations, resides in Indira Nagar, Erukkancherry, Chennai with his family. He is survived by his wife Nadhiya, 35, and three children.
Nadhiya, who celebrates her birthday today, allegedly informed Tamilan Prasanna that she wants to celebrate her birthday in a grand manner. Prasanna, on the other hand, has told his wife not to celebrate her birthday during this COVID period.
According to the police, the two had an argument, and Nadhiya, who was depressed on her birthday, committed suicide by hanging herself from the electric fan in her house.
The body was seized by Kodungaiyur police and sent to Stanley Hospital for an autopsy. Tamil Prasanna and his family members are being investigated by Kodungaiyur police.
