Following a series of attempts by Hindu Munnani and various Hindu organizations, the Mandapam of the famous Panamudeeswarar temple in Kanchipuram district, which is under the control of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments department, has been reclaimed from the encroachers.
The Mandapam of Kanchipuram Panamudeeswarar Temple, which is located adjacent to the temple’s tower, was occupied by encroachers who attempted to construct a building on it.
However, with the continuous efforts of Hindu Munnani and various other Hindu organizations, the Mandapam was recovered from encroachers, and the building constructed was demolished by HR&CE authorities.
HR&CE officials, who used a JCP machine to destroy the unlawful construction, placed a placard stating that the property belongs to Panamudeeswarar Temple. The public and temple activists want HR&CE authorities to be proactive in reclaiming temple properties rather than reactively reclaiming them from encroachers after receiving a complaint.
