The public and traders in Thiruparankundram have put up a poster demanding the cancellation of the police inspector Madanakala’s transfer. “Law and order have been guarded with humanity since the inspector was hired at the Thiruparankundram police station. Her transfer should be cancelled,” read the posters that the public has posted in areas including Thiruparankundram, police station and market and appealed to the Metropolitan Police.
Madanakala works as a police inspector at the Thiruparankundram police station in Madurai. She raised awareness among market traders and the general public during the Corona period and fed the starving monkeys in the foothills of Thiruparankundram during the curfew.
She had taken the commendable initiative of collecting vegetables, fruits etc from local shops and carried them to the monkeys’ habitat on the hill. She had obtained permission from her department’s higher authorities and came to the rescue of these poor creatures struggling and starving in this hot temperature, curfew, lockdown and restrictions due to Corona.
She also worked diligently and solved the problems of the public. She had donned the role of an effective teacher communicator to explain in simple language about COVID19, how it spreads and what to do for its prevention. Due to these reasons, the public in Thiruparankundram had been greatly impressed and demanded the police department to withdraw her transfer and retain her.
