The Hindu Munnani has alleged that a Christian prayer hall operating next to Kasipalayam in the government town area of Erode district was being run illegally with the intent of creating religious conflict.
According to the organisation, the hall was managed by a religious preacher named John Peter, who allegedly invited people from outside the area to participate in prayer meetings and engage in religious propaganda.
On receiving this information, the Erode Metropolitan District unit of the Hindu Munnani announced plans to protest the activities at the hall. Following the announcement, the organisers reportedly shut down the prayer hall.
