“You Will Face The Consequences”: BJP Leader H Raja Warns TN Congress Functionary Dhivya Marunthiah Over Fake Letter

Senior BJP leader and Convenor of the Tamil Nadu BJP Co-ordination Committee, H Raja, has sharply criticized Tamil Nadu Congress OBC Wing General Secretary, Dhivya Marunthiah, for allegedly spreading false information. The misinformation claimed that Raja had written a letter to the BJP’s central leadership expressing dissatisfaction with the current Tamil Nadu BJP chief, K. Annamalai.

Raja rebuked Dhivya Marunthiah, warning her of potential consequences for propagating such misinformation as he reiterated that the alleged letter was fabricated and emphasized that he had already clarified this matter publicly. Despite his clarification, certain individuals continued to circulate the fake letter, which he condemned as an intentional attempt to mislead people.

On 16 January 2025, H Raja clarified via his official x account that, “Fake news is being spread on social media by anti-social elements with the intention of tarnishing my reputation. I want to make it clear that legal action will be taken against the individual responsible for creating and disseminating this false information. Action will also be taken against whoever involved in spreading this misinformation.”

The letter in question reportedly stated, “I extend my heartfelt gratitude for entrusting me with the role of Tamil Nadu State Convenor of the Bharatiya Janata Party. It is a great honor, and I am committed to upholding our party’s values and vision in Tamil Nadu. During my tenure, I have traveled extensively across the state, engaging with leaders, office bearers, and cadres. I have worked diligently to unify efforts, strengthen the party’s foundation, and expand our base, resulting in lakhs of new members joining the BJP, reflecting the growing resonance of our ideology.”

However, the controversial part of the letter read, “However, I must bring to your attention certain concerning observations shared by credible sources during my interactions with the public and cadres. Allegations suggest that the current Tamil Nadu State Leadership is involved in extorting money from business entities such as the KG Group, Naidu community leaders, and individuals like Shri SV Balasubramaniam of Bannari Group, as well as institutions like Kumaraguru Colleges. Intermediaries such as Shri Ravi Sam and Shri KG Anush are reportedly involved, with funds allegedly misused for personal international travel and investments in Sree Annamalaiyar Chambers, Dindigul, where family members of the leadership are said to be directly involved. These allegations, if true, could harm the party’s image and erode public trust. I urge you to investigate this matter thoroughly and take appropriate action to protect the party’s integrity and values.”

It has now been confirmed that the letter was fake. The morphing of an old letterhead of H. Raja is evident, with the header and footer clearly showing outdated details, while the body of the letter is newly inserted. This manipulation indicates the letter was fabricated and altered to mislead the public and tarnish his reputation.
