The city police arrested a 47-year-old pastor from a local church for allegedly making sexual advances toward a 26-year-old woman after inviting her to his home.
According to the police, the woman lived with her family in the same apartment complex where the pastor, T Kenith Raj, resided with his own family.
The woman, seeking help for personal troubles, approached Kenith, who told her she was possessed by evil spirits and claimed he could assist her. The pastor called her to his house when his family was away, where he allegedly made sexual advances under the guise of prayer.
The woman objected and tried to leave, but Kenith allegedly threatened to harm her family if she reported his actions. Based on the woman’s complaint, the Mylapore all-women police registered a case and arrested Kenith Raj.
