“Where Is ₹1000 For Women?” Ask TN People As MK Stalin Peddles Lies About PM Modi Promising ₹15 Lakh To Every Citizen

DMK chief and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin chose to peddle the oft-repeated lie about Prime Minister Narendra Modi claiming that the latter has not even deposited ₹15 in bank account to people let alone ₹15 lakh.

Chief Minister MK Stalin was speaking at the wedding ceremony of DMK NRI Wing Deputy Secretary Parithi Ilam Suruthi.

In his speech, CM Stalin said “Prime Minister Modi came to power claiming to provide 2 crore jobs every year. When asked what happened to that, he has no answer. He promised to bring back black money stashed abroad and deposit ₹15 lakh in every citizen’s bank account. Was it fulfilled? Let alone ₹15 lakh, at least ₹15,000? Have they deposited ₹15 at least? No!”.

It is to be noted that PM Modi never made any promise about ₹15 lakh in every Indian’s bank account. During an election campaign in the lead up to the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Modi had said that the amount of Black money stashed was so high that it would be enough to deposit ₹15 lakh in every Indian’s account. He made the statement to draw a comparison to the quantity of black money stashed abroad during the UPA ear. This lie has been busted a number of times as PM Modi during a campaign had only made a comparison to the amount of black money stashed abroad.

In light of this, people on social media have questioned about the DMK’s promise of ₹1000 for every women head of the household which remains unfulfilled even after close to 2 years of being in power.

He also glorified the cringeworthy incident of his son Udhayanidhi Stalin’s ‘AIIMS brick’ campaign ahead of 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections and peddled half-truths about AIIMS Madurai.

“It was announced in the Budget 2021. Prime Minister Modi himself came and laid the foundation stone. Till now, we don’t know what happened. With one brick, our brother Udhayanidhi went around Tamil Nadu campaigning. You would’ve seen news about it. Even after that you should’ve got some shame isn’t it?”, Stalin said.

This half-truth about AIIMS Madurai was busted by Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandviya in Parliament today. He said that students have been admitted into AIIMS Madurai and classes have started. AIIMS Madurai is temporarily functioning at Government Medical College, Ramaslanathapuram. The Minister cited delay on the state government side over land allotment and other issues.
