Video of DMK Minister saying party office bearers would be given preference in State Govt jobs goes viral

A video of Tamil Nadu Electricity Minister Senthil Balaji saying that party workers and their families would be given priority in state government employment has gone popular on social media.

Senthil Balaji, who was involved in a controversy saying that the squirrel was to blame for the power outage, was caught in another controversy before the first one ended.

In a video that has surfaced in social media, Minister Senthil Balaji can be heard saying,” The daughter, son, and grandson of party cadres will be given priority and prominence at all levels of government service. I declare that it is both my and the government’s responsibility to ensure this. I had created employment opportunities for a lot of people in the past and I am certain that I can do so again in this government. I assure you.”

MInister Senthil Balaji’s reckless statement was denounced by a number of people. Raj Sathyan, Secretary-AIADMK IT WING-Madurai Zone, asked Senthil Balaji if the Tamil Nadu recruitment body, TNPSC, could be dissolved.

A member of the ADMK asked Minister Senthil Balaji if the TNPSC (Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission) could be converted to the ‘DMK’PSC.
