Self-styled feminist Chinmayi Sripaada chose yet another Hindu festival to derogate Hinduism. A few days ago on Varalakshmi Vratham, she called Hindu women ‘gatekeepers of patriarchy’.
This time, she chose Krishna Janmashtami to talk about a rape incident, except she refused to reveal who were the perpetrators of the heinous crime.
A handle shared a video stating, “Teen Girl Raped on Janmashtami Night While Going to Temple… All 3 Accused Now Arrested 📍Chhapaar, MuzaffarNagar, UP A 15 y/o girl was allegedly abducted by three men and raped by main accused Sameer Ali while on her way to a temple on Janmashtami night. She was found outside an accused’s house in a traumatised state. Main accused Sameer was arrested first. Fugitives Salman and Awwaleen were shot in the legs and captured. Two Yogi cabinet ministers visited the family and assured justice.”

This handle itself reveals that the accused is a Sameer Ali – we need not specifically name his religion, our readers are smart enough to understand who he is.
But Chinmayi hid that information with a sole aim of spewing venom on the Hindu festival of Janmashtami. She wrote, “3 men raped a teenage girl on Janmashtami day. Hope at least this year there wont be rape cases during Navaratri – Else like the Delhi Bus Gang rape case they ll report it 25 days late.”
She linked both Janmashtami and Navaratri to a crime that was committed by 3 Muslims – Mohammad Sameer, Md Waleen and Md Salman.
Despite netizens letting her know who the perpetrators were, she has still not delete that post nor replied to those who gave her the names.
This is the exact way a so-called liberal and feminist behaves – selective vision, selective outrage.
A horrific crime against a teenage girl was turned into a cheap insinuation against Janmashtami and Navaratri, while the identities of the accused were conveniently left out. When confronted with those facts, Chinmayi still chose silence. No correction. No clarification. Not even a deletion.
The message is glaring: the crime is useful when it can be weaponised against a Hindu festival, but the identity of the alleged perpetrators becomes inconvenient when it disrupts the narrative. That is not standing up for women. It is reducing a traumatised victim to ammunition for an ideological attack on Hinduism.
