TN CM Stalin felicitates vulgar YouTubers who spew abuses and make rape jokes

On Monday (October 11), Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin met and felicitated a bunch of YouTubers who had reportedly crowd-sourced money to sponsor oxygen producing equipment for the Tiruvannamalai Government Hospital.

These YouTubers include Avudaiappan of Behindwoods, Madan Gowri, alleged ‘fact-checker’ Iyan Karthikeyan, ousted anchor from News 18 Tamil Nadu Senthilvel who currently runs Tamil Kelvi, and several others.

Among those who CM Stalin met and felicitated also include the controversial YouTubers who run the channel named Plip Plip which is known for its abusive content. The channel run by two persons who identify themselves as Gurubaai and Sarvs Saga are known for using obscene language that objectify women and spewing abuses referring to the male and female genitalia. In one of their videos they had even glorified gang rape.

In the above video, Sarvs Saga tells Gurubaai that he wants to tell a joke and goes on like this:

“In a place, there lived a man who had a lot of money. He was also looking smart. You know what he did? Once a girl told him that she trusts him completely. What do you think that guy did?” to which Gurubaai replies “Did he love that girl? Did he marry her? Live-in relationship?”.

“Chi p**da. Tell that you don’t know.”, Saga says to Gurubaai.

Saga further goes on to say “You know what he did? The man and his friends gangraped that girl!” bursting out in laughter.

The original video seems to have been removed from the YouTube channel and only a clipping of it is doing the rounds on social media.

Sarvs Saga and Gurubaai (who has a separate channel of his own) are known for using vulgar language in their videos by making sexual references. They frequently and willingly use foul language in Tamil derogating women.

Despite several complaints by social media users, no action has been taken against them or their channel.

It is these two YouTubers who along with several other YouTubers who are vocal supporters of the DMK met CM Stalin and handed over the money they had collected through crowd sourcing.

As per Avudaiappan, Iyan Karthikeyan had received a request from the Rotary Club in Tiruvannamalai for an oxygen producing facility at the Government Hospital in the district following which these YouTubers came together and put a live show on May 30 inviting funds for the facility. They had apparently received more than 23 lakhs which was handed over to the concerned company in the presence of CM Stalin.
