Rakhis from TN for soldiers in Ladakh presented to Defence Minister by BJP leader Tarun Vijay

Former MP and President of Students and Youth for Thiruvalluvar Tarun Vijay presented approximately 26000 Rakhis to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to be sent to Indian soldiers in Ladakh and other border areas.

Students from Bharani Vidyalaya of Karur, Tamil Nadu made around 13,000 Rakhis, all handcrafted. It was done by Students and Youth For Thiruvalluvar organisation with the help of the principal of the school Ram Subramanyam.

Some of these Rakhis have Thirukural written on them with pictures of Indian Army Jawans’ victory.

Another lot was prepared by children of the Aryan School in Dehradun.

Sewa Bharati, an RSS inspired service organisation prepared several thousand Rakhis through girls living in underprivileged areas and sewa bastis. Youth For Bharat leader Ms. Vrinda led the Rakhi group.

The Students and Youth for Thiruvalluvar (SYT) has been doing this for the past four years.

Appreciating the effort Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that these are not just the Rakhi threads but blessings of their sisters for the soldiers who are brave against all odds to protect our nation.
