Rajini dissolves political precursor outfit and reorganizes it into fan club, ends statement with ‘Jai Hind’

After much hemming and hawing, Superstar Rajinikanth had announced his exit from politics on December 29, 2020 citing health reasons and the COVID-19 pandemic.

But speculations and expectations among his fans about Rajinikanth giving a re-entry to politics were still prevailing even after the Assembly Elections which has now been put to rest after his meeting with Rajini Makkal Mandram (RMM) office bearers today.

In a press release issued by the actor, he said that there has been no discussion with his office bearers after he had announced his decision to quit politics. He said that he could not begin his political journey due to circumstances and added that he has no plans of entering politics in the future.

Adding further he said that he is dissolving RMM and reorganizing it into Rajinikanth Rasigar Narpani Mandram, the earlier name of his fan clubs.

“Vaazhga Tamil Makkal (Long live Tamil people), Valarga Tamil Nadu (Let Tamil Nadu grow), Jai Hind”, he concluded.

The ‘Jai Hind’ is seen as a subtle dig at the DMK at a time when the party and its allies have been disrespecting the patriotic slogan.
