PFI Offices In Coimbatore Sealed

On October 14, the Coimbatore district administration, sealed four offices of the banned Popular Front of India (PFI), a Muslim organization claimed to behind many anti-Govt. protests in India.

Two PFI offices at Coimbatore’s Kottaimedu and Vincent Road as well as the PFI offices at Mettupalayam and Pollachi were sealed. Police have been deployed at the above places and in “sensitive” areas, according to official sources .

On September 28 , the Centre had banned the PFI for five years under the stringent anti-terror law UAPA, accusing the Islamic outfit of trying to spread communal hatred in the country and having “links” with global terror groups like ISIS.
