Liberal media: A mouth piece for the radical left and Islamic terror apologists

New York Times, which is one the leading newspapers in the world, famous for publishing the Pentagon Papers and the Watergate Scandal has now turned into a mouthpiece of the radical left and an Islamic terror apologist under the garb of being politically correct.

The newspaper’s headline about the beheading of the French schoolteacher Samuel Patty reeked of political correctness, completely hiding the fact that the killer was a Muslim and the heinous act was an act of a radicalized Islamic terrorist.

The initial headline read, “French police shoot and kill a man after deadly knife attack in the street,”. Only after receiving backlash in social media did the newspaper changed the reference.

Earlier, NYT had published an op-ed written by Sirajuddin Haqqani, the number two leader in the Taliban and the head of his own group, Haqqani Network, a Pakistan-backed terrorist organization. The Haqqani Network is responsible for the death of many US servicemen in Afghanistan.

The same newspaper published an article written by United States Senator Tom Cotton and upon receiving a lot of backlash from the liberals released a statement in which it said, “We’ve examined the piece and the process leading up to its publication. This review made clear that a rushed editorial process led to the publication of an Op-Ed that did not meet our standards. As a result, we’re planning to examine both short term and long term changes, to include expanding our fact checking operation and reducing the number of Op-Eds we publish.”

Tom Cotton is a veteran and is a member of the Republican party.

Another leading American newspaper, is the Washington Post (WaPo). After the US forces killed the leader of ISIS, Caliph Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the WaPo carried a headline that looked more like an obituary which read, “Islamic State’s terrorist-in-Chief” to “austere religious scholar at helm of Islamic State.”

In fact, the article in WaPo carried a description of Baghdadi that practically made him seem like a saint. The journalist who wrote this article had written that Baghdadi was an “austere religious scholar with wire-frame glasses” who previously had “no known aptitude for fighting and killing”. Warrick writes that Baghdadi’s acquaintances remembered him as a “shy, nearsighted youth who liked soccer but preferred to spend his free time at the local mosque”.

Later WaPo changed the headline to “Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, extremist leader of Islamic State, dies at 48” after receiving flak. Just because Al-Baghdadi was a Muslim, the Wapo and NYT have consistently carried out a headline so as to no come across as ‘offensive’ to the liberal cabal and Islamo-fascists.

The liberal media gang in their pursuit of has become the beacon for political correctness and there is a famous quote that says, “Political correctness is tyranny with manners”. Even social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook are muzzling one side while giving free rein to the left.

Rabid Islamist and former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad who had openly called for the genocide of the French people and said “Muslims have the right to kill anyone” who insults Islam and its prophet was given a free pass by Twitter. Even after the hate speech was called out Twitter said that though the tweet violated the rules, “Twitter has determined that it may be in public’s interest for the tweet to remain accessible”.

It was taken down only after Secretary of State for Digital Sector of France Cédric O intervened summoning the Director of Twitter France and issued a warning stating ‘if the account of Mahathir Mohamad is not suspended, Twitter would be an accomplice to a formal call for murder’.

Liberalism is no more liberal in nature. It does not stand for tolerance and democratic values anymore. It has now been weaponized by the radical left, fascists and Islamic terror apologists and has morphed into what is called as liberal fundamentalism.
