On February 10, a mob of around 25-30 people brutally stabbed 26 year old Rinku Sharma to death in front of his parents on allegedly after arguments over donation drive for Ayodhya Ram Temple construction.
Reporedly, the police have arrested the four assailants – Mohammad Islam, Danish Nasruddin, Dilshan and Dilshad Islam – who entered Rinku’s house and killed him in cold blood.
In light of this incident, an employee of music streaming service app Gaana, put out a tweet that comes across as legitimizing this brutal murder.
One Tanzila Anis who works as a Content Head at Gaana commenting on the murder said “Bajrang Dal activist, That’s it, That’s the tweet” implying that Rinku Sharma getting killed was okay because he was a member of the Bajrang Dal.
Following this, netizens started digging out her old tweets which are even more slanderous spewing hatred against Hindu Gods and the Hindu community.
In 2012, she wrote “I have thing for mythological dick”, in an apparent reference to Lord Shiva. In another tweet on Lord Shiva she said “I just saw this huge Shiva idol with legs spread wide. I want to stand under it. Who wants to join me in this #blasphemy”.
In April 2013, she said that Lord Krishna indulged in ‘orgy’ with gopis (Lord Krishna’s women devotees). “This boy is mad”, she had tweeted.
She had also slandered Goddess Sita and Lord Hanuman by making inappropriate references. In another tweet put in March 2015, she said that there must be an outrage on why there are more Hindus in India.
Many are now lashing out at Gaana app and questioning if the organization does not do social media background checks before employing people.
What kind of filth do you employ @gaana? Shame on you https://t.co/ZUGBgX6WnV
