The Greater Chennai Police have apprehended Tughlaq Ali Khan, son of famous Kollywood actor Mansoor Ali Khan, along with seven others, in connection with their alleged involvement in ganja and narcotic drug-related activities.
On 4 November 2024, authorities from JJ Nagar police station took into custody five men, including 41-year-old Mohammad from Mannadi and his 37-year-old brother Jayamujin, who were reportedly selling ganja and other narcotics through a mobile app. The Anti-Narcotics Intelligence Unit (ANIU) tracked their mobile numbers and, after reviewing their call records, discovered a new network of dealers and users.
On 30 November 2024, ANIU officers seized ganja oil from two college students residing in Kattankulathur. These students, originally from Kerala, were also arrested.
The recent arrest of the seven individuals, including the actor’s son, follows their repeated contact with the peddlers’ mobile numbers and their involvement in cash transactions related to drug deals. Investigations are ongoing.
