At Kadinamkulam near Trivandrum in Kerala, a man under the pretext of taking his wife to a beach took her to his friend’s house and gangraped her along with his five other friends. The Kerala police have arrested all the culprits.
The man who is said to be a drug addict, had promised to take his wife and his 5 year old child to the beach. Instead the man took his wife and the child to his friend’s house and in the feast arranged there, the husband had force fed his wife with liquor and said to have taken her to a farm house nearby along with his 5 friends.
In the farm house the man along with his 5 friends had gangraped his wife in front of the 5 year old child. The child was said to be beaten and thrown out when he tried to help his mother. The women had also been burnt with cigarettes by the gang.
After a long struggle with the drunken gang the women had escaped along with her child and said to have sought the help of a passerby in a car who helped her contact the police .
Police then rushed to the spot and arrested all 6. In the investigation it was found that all the 6 already have criminal records. The Trivandrum police have booked all 6 under POCSO and other sections of sexual assault.
The State Women Rights Commission has assured the safety of the victim and her child.
