In Krishnagiri district, there have been allegations of that Christian missionaries are invoved in forcible conversion have even set up a prayer hall in front of a private school.

There is a building opposite a private school in Velampatti, Krishnagiri district. This building has reportedly been rented and has been turned into a ‘Prayer House’ where Christian missionaries hold prayers every Sunday.

Hindus in the local area are brought to the these ‘prayer meetings’ and are enticed to convert their religion. A few of the locals who came to know about this had opposed this and questioned the missionaries over their attempts to convert.

To this, the missionaries had abused and even allegedly gave death threats.

Following this, the Hindu Munnani district secretary Suresh Kumar has lodged a complaint at the Naagarasampatti police station to take action against the missionaries.
