Udhayanidhi Stalin, the crown prince of DMK and a Minister in his father MK Stalin-led DMK government, has once again stoked controversy with the party’s ‘Hindi Theriyathu Poda’ slogan which means “I don’t know Hindi, Get lost!”
The BJP in its official social media handle had posted an image criticizing Udhayanidhi Stalin’s remarks on Ayodhya Ram Janmabhoomi Temple.
It had posted “Identify these unrighteous people! They hate Ram temple. They defame Sanatana Dharma.” with an image card having the headline about Udhayanidhi Stalin’s views on Ram Mandir where he said that the DMK is against building the temple after razing the mosque down.
In response to this, Udhayanidhi Stalin had shared a photograph of him wearing the T-shirt “Hindi Theriyathu Poda” with a smiley.

The picture is of 2020 when the DMK had come up with a T-shirt campaign called ‘Hindi Theriyathu Poda’ (“I don’t know Hindi, Get lost!”), claiming to resist ‘Hindi imposition’.
Ironically, the DMK IT Wing had recently posted job advertisement calling for Hindi content writers for pushing their propaganda in Hindi.
The irony is even more apparent considering Udhayanidhi Stalin’s involvement in promoting the Hindi film “Lal Singh Chadha” in 2022. Notably, the film was released under his production banner, Red Giant Movies.
Time and again the DMK, a constituent of the I.N.D.I. Alliance has found itself peddling hate against Hindi speakers.
DMK MP from Dharmapuri Senthilkumar found himself in soup when he called northern part of India calling them as ‘Gaumutra’ states. He had to apologize in Parliament for his xenophobic hate speech.
