Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) head Thol. Thirumavalavan has once again spewed vitriol against the Hindu faith posting a scandalous picture that insults the Trishul, the holy weapon associated with Hinduism.
The Member of Parliament from Chidambaram while commenting on the Karnataka hijab row posted a tweet that sounded similar to the statement issued by the Taliban spokesperson. In the tweet, Thirumavalavan had attached a graphic picture of a hijab clad girl with a Trishul piercing out of a wild dog.

The tweet in Tamil reads “Sister, Your war cry has made the world realize a new meaning. #AllahuAkbar. Femininity is great. Freedom is great. Social justice is great and equality is great.”
This language of the tweet is similar to the tweet posted by Taliban spokesperson Inamullah Samangani.
Indian Muslim girls struggle for Hijab shows that Hijab is not an Arab, Iranian, Egyptian or Pakistani culture, but an Islamic value for which Muslim girls around the world, especially in the secular world, sacrifice with different types and defend their religious value.#Muskan pic.twitter.com/VfkNR2qCmb

What is more appalling is the graphic picture of the hijab clad girl superimposed with the image of a dog/wolf having the holy trident which is considered as the sacred weapon of Lord Shiva, Lord Shakti, etc.
This is not the first time Thirumavalavan has made scandalous remarks targeting the Hindu faith. Earlier, Thirumavalavan called Sanatan Dharma as worse than the menace of alcohol and that the ancient epics of Ramayana and Mahabharata remain the root cause of all violence in the world.
In January 2021 , he went on a rant against Hindu God Murugan. Prior to that he had called Thirugnanasambandhar, one of the 63 Nayanmars as a ‘murderer’.
He had also extended support to members of the Karuppar Koottam, a rabid YouTube channel who had derogated ‘Kandha Sashti Kavasam’, the devotional hymn sung in praise of Lord Murugan.
