“He’s One Hallelujah Jebakootam (Prayer Gang)”: ‘Savukku’ Shankar Trolls DMK Propagandist Journo Senthil Vel

Senthil Vel, who runs the Tamil Kelvi YouTube channel and an anchor associated with the Tamil news channel Maalai Murasu hosted the second Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) Youth Wing Conference held at Salem, solidifying the perception that he aligns closely with and serves as a vocal supporter of the DMK.

Despite portraying himself as an ‘unbiased’ journalist, he was observed wholeheartedly embracing the DMK family and its policies while hosting the event.

Responding to this, prominent political commentator ‘Savukku Shankar’ took sly jibes at the DMK propagandist ‘journalist’ for being subservient to the DMK.

Shankar: Yesterday you took those Vaal Veechu (sword thrower), Vel Veechu (spear thrower), Parotta Veechu (parotta thrower).

Muthalif: (intervening) he was sloganeering when Stalin came.

Shankar: Sshoooo… He is a ‘Hallelujah prayer gang’, but he is roaming around claimig to be a journalist. When he was working in Sathyam TV he was kneeling and praying. 

Muthalif: Ooohh are you saying this truthfully

Shankar:  I’m saying this seriously

Muthalif: Yesterday , he was running his mouth about Periyar, Giriyar 

Shankar: He joined Sathyam TV based on a recommendation. While all were sitting and speaking, he ran his mouth about Periyar Giriyar there too. After completing that… you know what channel that is right? (Hinting that it is Sathiyam TV is run by a Christian organization). He was sitting with the owner, MD and praying

Muthalif: Oh then suiting himself according to the places. If he had come this side he would have gone to Ram Temple, Ayodhya

Shankar: Aaaa yes… you’ve taken to stage such kind of survivalist as a journalist. We are not such kind of journalists who long for your recognition”. 

About Senthil Vel

Senthil Vel was implicated in spreading false information and promoting caste-based discord. He falsely asserted that the accused teacher, linked to a sexual harassment case, belonged to the ‘Iyer’ caste, thereby perpetuating the dissemination of misleading details.

It is worth noting that Maridhas, a popular vlogger, had previously accused Senthil of favoring a specific ideology and political party. News 18 Tamil Nadu decided to part ways with him in light of these allegations.

Another online user sarcastically commented that he had previously claimed to be an impartial journalist.
