Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations seek apology from Pope, wants surviving priests or nun punished

The Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations (FISNATIONS) is seeking an apology from Pope Francis who is the top religious leader of the Catholic Church as more and more unmarked graves of native children are being discovered in Canada.

In a statement, FISN said, that the survivors of the residential school run by the Catholic Church deserve an apology and compensation for all the extreme harm that occurred during this torturous period.

They also demanded the records of these institutions are released and justice be served for any living priest or nun who committed crimes against our children.

FISN chairman Bobby Camaron said, Acts of genocide occurred at the hands of Catholic clergymen and women. Our children who never made it home are speaking to us, they are crying “they have found us” and we will not stop until they receive the justice that has been waiting decades for. The Church must follow through with the vows to raise $25 million dollars at once committed for the survivors and their descendants,”.
