Erode village residents allege encroachment of public land by DMK office bearers

Residents of a Namakkal village have complained that DMK office bearers occupy public land and prohibit it from being used by the general public.

The residents of Vettuvampalayam village in Erode district have alleged that the public road used by the villagers was occupied by DMK Kirampur Panchayat Deputy Chairman Shanthi, her husband DMK Branch Secretary Jai Shankar, and District DMK Student Affairs Deputy Organizer Ayyavu.

They further stated that DMK cadres are obstructing the construction of a road across the encroached land and are threatening anyone who questions them about it.
