“Dog Who Sells Liquor, If You’re A Man…”: Video Of ADMK’s C Ve Shanmugam Slamming DMK Min TRB Rajaa Goes Viral

In an undated video that is making the rounds of the internet, Rajya Sabha MP and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam leader C Ve Shanmugam is seen warning Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam IT Wing head and DMK minister for Industries, TRB Rajaa over his language.

In the video, Shanmugam says, “A DMK Minister had shared on his social media handle, “If you criticise our leader, we will throw you down and trample upon/thrash you.” Who is it, TR Baalu’s son TRB Rajaa, a minister. He will speak like that only. He is involved in liquor manufacture. How will such a person be? How will a rural person who makes liquor be? What will he do? This one will make for 50 people in the village, while the other manufactures liquor for 5 crore people. That dog who sells liquor is saying all this, how dare you look at us and say that if we criticise your leader, you will throw us and trample upon/thrash us? If you are a man, TRB Rajaa, if you are a man, say the same thing as a speech on a platform. Sitting in an AC room, don’t think you can get away with posting something on Facebook. If you are a man, say the same thing on a dias. If you criticise our leader, we will throw you down and trample upon you people, say this on the platform and let us see if you go home. Is this why you all cast your vote? A minister says he will beat you up and trample you and the Chief Minister is a mute spectator to all this.”

Back in 2022, TRB Rajaa put out a tweet threatening to thrash anyone who criticised his leader MK Stalin. “Tell your opinion. Tell an opposing opinion. You can even debate that we’re saying are lies. You will get a civilized response. But you all don’t have any right/qualification to criticize my leader. If you do, we will hit you, even if he is your dad. Sorry.. we will thrash you.”

DMK MLA T.R.B. Rajaa’s deleted tweet

An elected representative, in charge of the IT Wing making such a post raised eyebrows from all sections of the public, including the party’s sympathisers, prompting him to later delete the post.

Afterward, he tweeted, admitting he got carried away and felt overwhelmed by the trolling. Despite this, he posted the same message again, but this time he rephrased the problematic part from his earlier tweet. TRB Rajaa wrote, “Tell your opinion. Tell an opposing opinion. You can even debate that we’re saying are lies. You will get a civilized response. But whoever criticizes our leader fabricating lies and slander will be given retaliation in their own language.”
