Recently, two bus stand were installed at a cost of ₹6 lakhs at Alathur and Selvapuram near Ponmalai in Trichy district out of the MLA Constituency Development Fund of DMK MLA Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi.

Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi is the MLA from Thiruverumbur Assembly constituency and is a close aide of MK Stalin’s son and DMK youth wing secretary ‘actor’ Udhayanidhi Stalin.
The two bus stands had pictures of late DMK patriarch M. Karunanidhi, present DMK chief MK Stalin, Udhayanidhi Stalin and the DMK MLA of Thiruverumbur.
Soon after pictures of this surfaced on social media, public raised questions over the presence of Udhayanidhi Stalin’s picture who has never held a public office.
Former Member of Parliament from Trichy P. Kumar had lodged a complaint with the Trichy Corporation. Members from Kamal Hasan’s Makkal Needhi Maiyam too registered a complaint.
Following this, the picture of Udhayanidhi Stalin has been removed from the bus stands as per the orders of Trichy Districy Collector.
Now, a picture of Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi’s grandfather Anbil Dharmalingam who was also a former Tamil Nadu Minister has been put up.
