A woman in Ranipettai district has lodged a complaint with the police alleging that DMK functionaries were sexually harassing her and even attacked her husband with an iron rod.
Surya and Monisha are a couple staying at Anandapuram near Arakkonam. DMK functionaries Rajavelu, Venkatesan and Selvam have been sexually harassing Monisha while she was alone at home.
A few days back they sexually harassed Monica and passed lewd comments at her when she had gone for voting in the local elections. When her husband confronted, the DMK goons hit him with an iron rod.
Speaking to reporters, Monisha told that the DMK men have been constantly harassing and torturing her for a while. She mentioned that the DMK cadres throw stones at her when she is bathing and also harass her while feeding her baby.
When she had told them that she would complain to the police, the DMK cadres apparently told her “We’re the ruling party. You can’t do anything to us.”
She has now filed a complaint at the all women police station in Arakkonam seeking action against the DMK goons.
