Controversial Christian pastor Mohan C Lazarus has reportedly admitted his wife Joyce Lazarus in Apollo Hospital in Madurai for treatment of lung ailments.
Evangelist Mohan C. Lazarus of the Jesus Redeems Ministries in Thoothukudi is well-known for his hate speeches against the Hindu religion. He also holds massive ‘prayer meeting’ where he claims to cure illness by praying to Jesus.
In his website where he mentions about himself, he says,”In my early teen age, I was severely affected by an undeciphered heart ailment. The money consuming diverse medical treatments failed to sweep away the malady; instead, my heart began to bulge out more conspicuously. As a result, my body was paralyzed and he was confined to bed and my days were begun to be numbered. At this precarious scenario, God Jesus sent a person to counter with me. My parents did not oppose this man’s move; for, inwardly they expected their son’s cure eagerly! Even as he prayed the power of God descended upon me and after the prayer, I slowly got up and sat on my bed.”
There are many videos of Mohan C Lazarus indulging in miracle healing with his followers.
In the below vide, he urges people to touch the ailing part of the body and pray to Jesus for the disease to get cured.
In another video, there is a testimony of a woman named Rajamani from Erode who apparently got cured of her sores and swelling in her legs after attending a meeting of Mohan C Lazarus and praying to Jesus.
Mohan C Lazarus later goes on to narrate her example saying “In the Bible, Jesus told to the people who does ministry, all you have to do is keep your hands on those who are sick and they will be healed.”.
Additionally, in several Christian prayers and congregations, he claimed that he had successfully helped people with cancer and other illnesses over the phone with his prayers without ever having to see them in person.
In this background, Mohan C Lazarus has reportedly admitted his wife in Apollo hospital in Madurai for her lung ailment, prompting the general public to ponder why he was unable to cure his wife’s illness through prayer as he had done for others. His wife is also a Christian preacher and is part of the Jesus Redeems Ministry.
Earlier in August 2022, he had released a video stating that his wife caught cold which caused her wheezing. Doctors upon diagnosing told that her lungs had been infected and she was admitted to the Apollo Hospital in Madurai based on their advice.
Ironically, Mohan Lazarus himself has established a hospital named ‘New Life Multi Speciality Hospital in Thoothukudi district but did not choose to admit her there.

Mohan C Lazarus is rabid Christian pastor who had spewed venom against Hinduism a number of times. He had said that Satan’s grip is tight only in Tamil Nadu as it is the state with the highest number of temples in India.
In February 2021, the Madras High Court came down heavy and issued a warning to the Christian pastor for making reckless statements against Hindus and Hindu religion.
During the peak of the pandemic he had asked Christians to flout COVID norms and visit the Church. He had claimed that vaccines, booster doses and masks are all conspiracy of WHO and corporate companies and is the work of ‘anti-Christ’.

He was also instrumental in instigating the people against Sterlite was Mohan C Lazarus. While addressing a huge gathering of Christians, he peddled without any scientific basis that Sterlite Copper was a toxic factory and said that the Church has risen to shut the factory down.
