Cockroach Abhijeet Dipke Tried to Erase His AAP Past. The Digital Trail Remains

The digital footprint, they say, is eternal. But for cockroach Abhijeet Dipke, the eternal appears to have been carefully curated and then deliberately erased.

Dipke, who has recently repositioned himself while distancing from the Aam Aadmi Party, has been caught in what appears to be a systematic effort to rewrite his own political history. Our investigation reveals that the activist’s claims of a brief, three-year association with AAP between 2020 and 2023 are demonstrably false and that he has taken extraordinary measures to conceal a decade of deep involvement with the party.

The question is not merely one of political chronology. It is a question of credibility. If Dipke has been willing to misrepresent a decade of his political life, what else has he been willing to misrepresent?

The Erased Trail

The first clue lies in the digital graveyard. Dipke’s previous X username was @aaptimist, a handle that explicitly declared his political allegiance. That account has since been deleted, and his current X presence bears no trace of his decade-long association with AAP.

But the internet does not forget. Archived records, screenshots, and public interactions paint a picture that contradicts Dipke’s carefully constructed narrative.

His old associate and known collaborator, Ajinkya Shinde, whom Dipke has recently included in the Centre for Justice and Peace (CJP), appears to have been a long-term political ally.

Multiple sources confirm that Dipke and Shinde have worked closely since 2016 – a full four years before Dipke claims his AAP association even began.

The Maharashtra SM Head: A Position of Trust

Perhaps the most damning evidence comes from AAP’s own public statements and internal communications from the period.

Documentation shows that Abhijeet Dipke was the Maharashtra Social Media Head for AAP since 2016.

This is not a minor, peripheral role. The social media head for a state is a position of significant responsibility and trust within any political party’s organisational structure.

In 2018, AAP Mumbai head Preeti Menon publicly congratulated Dipke on his birthday, referring to him as the “most hardworking AAP volunteer.”

Such public acknowledgement from a senior party functionary is not extended to casual sympathisers or brief associates. It is the language of recognition for a committed, long-term party worker.

By 2020, Dipke was appearing before media outlets, campaigning publicly for the Aam Aadmi Party.

Our previous articles have documented how his close association with AAP continued well into 2026 – a full decade of active political work that he has now attempted to erase.

The Arithmetic of Deception

Let us do the math.

If Dipke began working with AAP in 2016, and continued until at least 2026, that constitutes ten years of active political association. The claim of a “three-year association between 2020 and 2023” collapses under the weight of its own arithmetic.

The deletion of old data, the username change, and the rebranding appear to be part of a concerted effort to manufacture a new political identity – one that conveniently severs ties with the party he now seeks to distance himself from.

The Nationalist Counter

Dipke appears to have believed that deleting old data and changing his username would be sufficient to erase his political past. He appears to have underestimated the vigilance of those who track political affiliations and maintain digital archives.

It is not merely a matter of partisan grievance. The exposure of Dipke’s decade-long AAP association serves a larger purpose: it reminds us that in the age of digital erasure, the truth is often preserved by those who refuse to let inconvenient facts disappear.

The truth, as always, has a way of surfacing. And for Abhijeet Dipke, the truth is that his association with AAP was not a brief, three-year dalliance; it was a decade of committed political work that he has now chosen to deny.
