Adaikkalamani, a DMK union secretary of Pudukottai district was arrested on charges of drunken driving and abusing a female police officer on Monday. He was coming in a car on road number 5 near Valayamapatti when the vehicle was pulled over by the traffic police patrolling the area. It was reported that Adaikkalamani engaged in a quarrel and abused the woman traffic police inspector Francis Marie.
Following this, the police filed a case under four categories that includes drunken driving, obstructing a government official and abusing.
It is to be noted that Adiakkalamani’s wife Sudha is also a DMK office bearer and hold the post of Ponnamaravathi Union Chairman.
