Breaking: Majority of Indians don’t trust Rahul Gandhi on national security matters, Modi gets thumbs up

In a poll conducted by IANS and C-Voter on the India China Faceoff, it has emerged that only 14.4% of those surveyed trust Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on national security matters. 61.3% do not trust Rahul Gandhi “at all” and 24.3% “trust Rahul Gandhi only to some extent”.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi enjoys the trust of Indians “to a great extent” (72.6%). 16.2% “trust PM Modi only to some extent” and 11.2% “don’t trust PM Mod at all”.

Similarly, majority (73.6%) trusted present government more than the opposition on national security. Only 16.7% trust the opposition more than the Indian government on issues of national security.

However, a majority of the Indians (60.2%) think that the Indian government still has not given befitting reply to China. 68.3% of those surveyed also think that China is a bigger problem for Indian than Pakistan.
