DMK former Rajya Sabha MP MM Abdulla sparked controversy with a social media post targeting Brahmins while commenting on the ongoing dispute between Tata Sons and Tata Trusts over the continuation of Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekaran.
In the now-deleted post, Abdulla wrote in Tamil that it took Parsis 200 years to build the Tata empire, but claimed that “a few years” were enough for Brahmins to “usurp” it.
“It took 200 years for the Parsis to build this empire. But a few years were enough for the Brahmins to usurp it,” Abdulla wrote.
He went on to link the issue to Dravidian politics in Tamil Nadu, claiming that the state had understood this alleged political dynamic for more than half a century.
Abdulla further wrote that this understanding was now declining and warned that Tamil Nadu and Tamils could lose their importance if they did not “wake up”, before concluding that “Dravidian politics is the politics for us.”

The post came amid the ongoing dispute within the Tata Group over the reappointment of N. Chandrasekaran as Executive Chairman of Tata Sons.
On 17 September 2026, the Tata Sons board voted to reappoint Chandrasekaran for another five-year term after he agreed to reconsider his earlier decision to step down when his current tenure ends in February 2027. Tata Trusts Chairman Noel Tata opposed the reappointment.
Tata Trusts subsequently challenged the validity of the board’s decision, arguing that the required support from its nominee directors was absent. Tata Sons, however, has rejected the objections and cited legal opinions supporting the validity of the resolution.
Continuing his hate against N Chandrasekaran, MM Abdulla made another post targeting him after news broke that the TATA Sons Chairman suggested building a university blending Hindu Shastras with modern fields like AI and computer science.
Abdulla wrote, “This guy was silent so far. Now He wants RSS support! So He is public about this..”
