DMK Govt Issues Tender To Install Smartboards With Additional OPS In Govt Schools Even As Basic Facilities Cry For Attention, A Scam In The Making?

In the month of December 2023, The Tamil Nadu Textbook and Educational Services Corporation led by ‘Dindigul’ Leoni had issued an open tender inviting bids for commissioning and maintaining smart classrooms in government schools across the state. Under this scheme, 22,931 schools have been selected where interactive smart panels are to be installed for the smart classroom setup.

What Are Smart Panels And What Are The Advantages?

Smart panels are interactive presentation screens that integrate the capabilities of a conventional whiteboard, computer, and projector. Featuring a touch-sensitive interface, these panels enable educators and learners to write, sketch, and engage with digital material instantly. Additionally, they provide enhanced functionalities such as video conferencing, screen sharing, and collaborative tools, enhancing the interactive and captivating aspects of the learning experience.

Smart panels enhance student engagement through interactive quizzes, polls, and games, making learning enjoyable. They facilitate improved collaboration via features like screen sharing and video conferencing, fostering teamwork and communication skills. The panels offer access to diverse digital content, promoting immersive learning experiences with videos, simulations, and interactive presentations. Designed for accessibility, they include features like text-to-speech and voice recognition, accommodating students with disabilities. Cost-effective eventually, smart panels reduce paper usage and energy costs. Implementing smart panels in schools requires planning, assessing needs, selecting appropriate technology, and providing effective training for teachers and staff. The cost of the panels starts anywhere from ₹85,000 and gradually increases depending on the specifications and needs.

Most of the smart panels come with Android as the operating system by default, which is sufficient for most tasks in school education. With the help of an Open Pluggable Specification (OPS) the smart panels can have additional functions like using Windows operating system, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi etc. The OPS alone can cost anywhere from ₹35000 onwards and can increase according to the specifications and needs. This adds an unnecessary financial burden and maintenance costs for these machines.

What Does The Tender Say?

The tender calls for OEMs who have reported an average annual turnover of minimum ₹2000 crores in the last three consecutive financial years. This clause alone can effectively eliminate small and medium OEMs from India. For example, Microline Pvt. India Ltd, which manufactures smart panels under the brand name ‘Sense’, has an annual turnover of ₹50 lakhs to 1 Crore despite having more than 8000 installations in 800 schools across 35 cities. There are other clauses such as the tenderer should have service centres in 38 districts of Tamil Nadu, project go-live completion within 180 days from the issue of purchase order, and tenderer should have positive net worth in the last five consecutive financial years.

The tender also calls for an internal or external OPS module in addition to the default features and Microsoft licences for the software to be used, increasing costs for the equipment.

Status Of Education In The State

The education department received one of the highest budget allocations in the recent budget, amounting to ₹ 47,266 Crores. However, when it comes to the infrastructure of the schools, the state of maintenance is poor, and it has been repeatedly reported that schools have been damaged due to external factors such as tree falls, or collapse due to weak structure. Despite, the Tamil Nadu government taking measures such as gathering reports on unsafe school buildings and demolishing school buildings, the Tamil Nadu government has told the Madras High Court that there are nearly 3000 damaged school buildings yet to be destroyed. This creates a fearful environment for the students and can impact the academic performance as well. While the digitization and smart classrooms moves are a welcome move to better school facilities, the government should also focus on improving the infrastructure of the school campuses, especially with innovative schemes such as ‘Namma’ school foundation scheme.

Kilambakkam Bus Terminus Fiasco: Residents Protest Against Buses Take Service Road Where School Children Walk

The Kilambakkam Bus Terminus (KCBT) is touted to be the beacon of modern transportation infrastructure, conceived during the AIADMK regime in February 2019 and officially inaugurated on 30 December 2023 by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam-led Tamil Nadu government. However, this ambitious project has not been without its share of controversies, stirring debates and raising concerns among the public.

The KCBT stands tall as a state-of-the-art facility, designed to accommodate a staggering 1.5 lakh passengers daily. Its expansive layout can house almost 800 omnibuses and 1000 government buses, reflecting a commitment to meeting the growing demands of the city’s public transportation system.

Despite its impressive features, the KCBT has not been immune to operational challenges and logistical hurdles. The facility’s well-lit interiors have garnered attention, but the spotlight also falls on the confusion and difficulties faced by passengers during its initial days of operation.
The primary objective behind the construction of KCBT was to alleviate traffic congestion in Perungalathur, Vandalur, and other parts of the city. However, there are growing apprehensions that poor planning may have led to a situation where the terminus itself becomes a source of traffic woes.

However, residents of Kilambakkam expressed their discontent through a protest. They raised concerns about the inconvenience caused by government buses using the service road, preventing them from utilizing it. The presence of a private school on the service route added to their worries, as parents feared a higher risk of accidents due to heavy traffic during morning and evening hours.

Protestors also specifically pointed out alleged restrictions on school buses, claiming that traffic police redirected them, worsening the inconvenience for students and parents. This symbolic protest aimed to bring attention to the community’s issues and express dissatisfaction with the current state of affairs. Guduvancheri police intervened in response to the escalating unrest, engaging in discussions with the protestors. Despite police efforts, the public stood firm in their demand for rerouting buses from the Kilambakkam bus stand through the GST road to alleviate congestion and improve the situation for residents.

The protest underscores a discontent of the local community and residents emphasize the necessity for a complete solution that takes into account the challenges faced by those living near the KCBT restoring harmony and ensuring smooth traffic flow.

How Tamil Nadu Has Benefitted From Various Initiatives Of The Modi Govt Since 2014

Since 2014, after assuming office as the Prime Minister at the Centre and defeating the Congress, PM Modi has left the Congress and its former allies trembling. In Tamil Nadu, parties such as DMK, Congress, VCK, MDMK, and others, aided by the media, created an illusion that the Modi-led government mistreats Tamil Nadu. They propagated factually incorrect information to generate anti-Modi sentiment in the state, and the media, in turn, peddled the same misinformation, aligning with their paymasters.

In reality, government data refutes their claims, and the people of Tamil Nadu have benefited significantly from the various schemes implemented. These initiatives have reached even the remote villages, vastly improving the lives of the residents. Let us explore a few major schemes launched by the Modi government and their extensive impact on the people of Tamil Nadu.

Let’s begin by examining the share of central taxes allocated to Tamil Nadu during the UPA 1&2 rule and the NDA government since 2014. When both the Congress and DMK were in power during UPA 1&2, the funds released to Tamil Nadu amounted to ₹85.72k Cr. In contrast, under the current BJP government from 2014 to 2023, this figure has risen significantly to ₹2.68 Lakh Cr. Comparing this with the UPA regime, the amount has swelled by more than three times, and a similar trend is observed in grants-in-aid released to Tamil Nadu.

It is crucial to highlight the substantial gap in funds allocated for disaster relief in Tamil Nadu. During the UPA regime, this amount did not exceed ₹5,000 Cr, whereas in the last nine years, it has reached around ₹12,000 Cr. This noteworthy increase was acknowledged by the Prime Minister during the inaugural event at Trichy Airport.

The Prime Minister highlighted the unprecedented expenditure on Tamil Nadu by the Central Government. He mentioned that in the decade preceding 2014, states received ₹30 lakh crore, while in the last 10 years, this amount increased to ₹120 lakh crore. Tamil Nadu also witnessed a 2.5-fold increase in funding during this period compared to the decade before 2014. The state experienced more than three times the expenditure on national highway construction and 2.5 times more funding in the railways sector, as per the Prime Minister’s information.

He further informed that numerous families in the state are benefiting from essential provisions such as free ration, medical treatment, and amenities like durable houses, toilets, and piped water.)

On August 15, 2014, PM Modi announced the financial inclusion initiative from the ramparts of the Red Fort. Within weeks, the Government of India launched the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY). Since its inception, more than 50 Crore bank accounts have been opened, with 1.5 Crore accounts opened in banks in Tamil Nadu. It is apt to say that this scheme has revolutionized financial inclusion in India, playing a vital role in taking government schemes to the last mile of connectivity and eliminating leakage in government schemes through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) by putting an end to the middlemen.

For years, farmers have suffered due to various unprecedented natural disasters caused by climate change. To assist them, the PM Modi-led government launched various schemes at different periods. Some major schemes include Soil Health Cards, PMFBY, PM-KISAN, and most importantly, the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for crops. The number of beneficiaries in Tamil Nadu is unimaginable when compared to the propaganda spread by DMK and its supporters.

  1. Soil Health Cards – Launched in the year 2015, the initiative aims to assist farmers in determining which fertilizer to use and the appropriate quantity based on weather conditions and various factors. As of December 2023, the government has issued 23.58 Cr Soil Health Cards (SHCs) to farmers nationwide, with 1.41 Cr SHCs specifically issued to farmers in Tamil Nadu.
  2. PMFBY – In response to crop damage caused by natural calamities, the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana was launched in 2016, to provide crop insurance. Under the scheme, as of 2023, approximately 2.7 Crore farmers in Tamil Nadu are insured out of the 48 Crore farmers in India.
  3. PM-KISAN – To financially assist eligible farmers, the Centre launched an initiative in 2019, providing ₹6,000 annually to each farmer in three installments of ₹2,000 each. Through this scheme, approximately 2 to 5 million farmers benefit each year.
  4. MSP – Since PM Modi assumed power, the government led by him has increased the Minimum Support Price for various crops, with hikes ranging from 57% to a highest of 147%.

The government also launched a scheme to enhance basic civic amenities in urban areas across the country. The AMRUT scheme, initiated for this purpose, has yielded fabulous results. For Tamil Nadu, since its inception, the Centre has released ₹4,397.29 Cr, and works have been completed in the selected 33 cities in the state.

Another set of schemes that have greatly assisted women continues to make a significant impact. The role of these initiatives in empowering women has been commendable, with extraordinary outcomes achieved in a very short span of time. No government has been able to accomplish what the PM Modi-led government has achieved in the last 9 years.

The Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY), initiated in 2015, aims to facilitate small and micro-entrepreneurs by providing them with loans of up to 10 Lakhs. In Tamil Nadu alone, there are 4.03 Cr loan accounts, and ₹1.99 Lakh Cr has been disbursed, with reports indicating substantial benefits for women.

Another scheme that has had a significant positive impact is PM-SVANidhi, launched in 2020 to assist street vendors by providing free working capital loans. In Tamil Nadu, the scheme has benefited 3.6 Lakhs street vendors.

PM Modi’s government has devised several fruitful schemes to alleviate the challenges faced by women in rural areas. This stands in contrast to the blunders of previous rulers who neglected the needs of these women.

  1. From day one, PM Modi has focused on and implemented policies to uplift the poor and ensure housing for all. To achieve this, he launched PMAY-U and PMAY-G in 2015 and 2016. Till now, 1,438,497 houses have been built in Tamil Nadu under both schemes. Similar to other initiatives, these schemes have brought about significant positive changes in society and instilled hope among the poor that they too can have a house.
  2. Similar to the aforementioned schemes, the PM Ujjwala Yojana was introduced in 2016 to empower women and safeguard their health by providing gas cylinders to poor families. Records indicate that there are almost 37 lakh beneficiaries under PMUY in Tamil Nadu.
  3. In 2019, PM Modi directed his attention towards women who endured hardships fetching drinking water by walking miles each day. To address this issue, he introduced the Jal Jeevan Mission, a significant scheme aimed at ensuring water for all, reducing the time spent fetching water, and providing access to tap water in every household. In just a few years since its launch in 2019, in Tamil Nadu alone, 78.88% of households are now connected to tap water.

Furthermore, the government has directed its attention towards training youths under the Samarth scheme for the textile industry. Among all states, Tamil Nadu has benefitted significantly from this scheme, with more than 31,000 individuals undergoing training.

Education is crucial for the prosperity of any nation, and the health sector is equally important, requiring close attention from the government. Before PM Modi, in 2002, then PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee launched the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, a significant scheme aimed at improving the infrastructure of the education sector by constructing additional classrooms, new schools, and providing basic amenities within school premises. In Tamil Nadu, starting in 2014, the Centre has constructed thousands of primary, upper primary, and secondary schools, along with additional classrooms and toilets.

Furthermore, the Atal Innovation Mission was initiated by the PM Modi government in 2016 to bring the best young minds into the mainstream and nurture them as innovators. In Tamil Nadu, 975 Atal Tinkering Labs have been established in both government and private schools.

Recognizing the importance of student health, the PM Poshan Scheme was launched across the country in 2018. This centrally sponsored scheme aims to provide healthy food to students. In Tamil Nadu, around 45 Lakh students are enrolled in this scheme annually.

To provide health assistance to the people, PM Modi launched the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana in 2018, aiming to ensure that every citizen of the country can receive treatment when ill. Government data reveals that as of November 2023, almost 95 lakh people in Tamil Nadu have received treatment, making it the state with the highest number of beneficiaries. Before this, the focus on building a robust health infrastructure was initiated in 1999, with regulations introduced to establish new medical colleges in Aspirational Districts, coupled with existing hospitals. In Phase 3 of this initiative, the Centre established 11 new medical colleges in Tamil Nadu, each equipped with a hospital boasting a large capacity to treat more patients.

The infrastructure projects allocated to Tamil Nadu by the NDA Government are extensive and cannot be overlooked. From redeveloping railway stations under Amrit Bharat Stations, ports under Sagarmala, rural roads under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, and airport development under the Udaan Scheme, to highways under Bharatmala Yojana, the list is extensive and impactful.

Lastly, the government has been concurrently focusing on the rejuvenation and promotion of spiritual and tourist sites. Schemes were launched for this purpose in 2014-15. Under DARSHAN, coastal areas were developed with an expenditure of ₹71 Cr, and in Darshan 2.0, Nilgiris and Mamallapuram have been identified for development. Another scheme is PRASHAD, through which Velankanni and Kanchipuram have been developed, and 8 temples have been identified for further development.

Furthermore, the initiative to bring back Jallikattu, which was banned by the Congress-led UPA Government in 2011, where DMK played a key role, was lifted by the PM Modi-led NDA government in 2017. The ban on the bull and the permission for JALLIKATTU were restored, allowing the event to run smoothly without interference. The derogatory remarks made by Congress Leader Jairam Ramesh, who referred to jallikattu as a “barbaric sport” and denigrated Tamil culture, were condemned. In 2023, PM Modi himself installed the Sacred Sengol in the parliament and frequently mentioned Thirukkural and Silapathigaram on the world stage.

The government has also promoted initiatives like Kashi Tamil Sangamam and Sourashtra Tamil Sangamam, which reinforce cultural ties between the spiritual places of Bharat. It is a fact that no other Prime Minister has showcased the richness of Tamil culture to the world like PM Modi. The mentioned schemes are just a few among the total, and there are others such as the PLI Scheme and policies that attract significant Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to Tamil Nadu. In his speech at the inaugural event of Trichy Airport and laying the foundation stone for schemes worth ₹20,000 Cr, PM Modi stated that Tamil Nadu is becoming the prime brand ambassador for ‘Make In India.’

DMK Councillor’s Husband Vandalizes TASMAC Shop For Denying Him Free Liquor, Arrested

The spouse of a DMK councillor found himself on the wrong side of the law after allegedly wreaking havoc at a government-run TASMAC shop in Tirunelveli. The incident unfolded when the man, identified as Raja, reportedly grew desperate after being denied alcohol without paying for it.

Asha, representing the 15th ward of Panagudi town panchayat in Tirunelveli district, serves as the DMK councillor. Trouble brewed when Raja visited a local TASMAC outlet a few days prior and purportedly demanded liquor to be provided without paying for it.

As TASMAC employees refused for it, the DMK councillor’s husband, allegedly resorted to vandalism within the TASMAC premises, causing damage to chairs, tables, and bottles. The entire incident was captured by the surveillance cameras installed at the site. Subsequently, TASMAC employees filed a formal complaint with the local police, prompting swift action.

Police officials registered a case against Raja and subsequently apprehended him based on the complaint. The incident has gained widespread attention after the CCTV footage went viral on various social media platforms.

Reacting to the incident, SG Suryah, the state secretary of TNBJP, took to Twitter to condemn the alleged misconduct by DMK leaders. He tweeted, “DMK Leaders riots asking for Free Liquor in a TASMAC Bar. DMK scoundrels are the most shameless creatures on earth.

There have been many instances where people associated with the DMK have indulged in hooliganism demanding free stuff from shop owners.

In January 2023, a DMK cadre and his friends destroyed a hotel in Tambaram, Chennai when they were asked money for Chicken fried rice they had.

In another incident, two DMK cadres ransacked a roadside hotel in Koyammbedu run by a BJP worker who refused to donate money to them.

In May 2022, a DMK youth wing functionary in Tiruneermalai assaulted a eatery owner for refusing to pay mamool.

A DMK cadre’s son brandished a billhook at a grocery store demanding free groceries in August 2020.

A biryani outlet in Karur was vandalized by a DMK office bearer in August 2020 after he was refused biryani as there was nothing left.

“DMK Is A Drama Company”: TN BJP Chief Annamalai Slams DMK Over Pongal Money Announcement

In a recent press conference, Tamil Nadu BJP Chief K. Annamalai launched a scathing attack on the DMK, labeling them as a “drama agency” with a historical penchant for delaying Pongal money announcements.

Annamalai highlighted the pattern that has persisted from the era of the late DMK patriarch Karunanidhi to the present, emphasizing the party’s consistency in keeping the people of Tamil Nadu waiting for Pongal funds.

According to Annamalai, the DMK’s modus operandi involves Udhayanidhi Stalin initially announcing discussions about providing Pongal money. Subsequently, a minister would reportedly endorse the claim by asserting, “DMK government cares for women, so they will definitely give Pongal money.” The Tamil Nadu BJP President painted a picture of a systematic approach to creating anticipation among the public.

Annamalai predicted that Tamil Nadu residents would find themselves standing in ration queues for up to six hours to receive their Pongal money. He urged the people of the state to shift their focus from the uncertainty of whether they would receive Pongal money to questioning the amount they would receive.

Drawing attention to DMK leader Stalin’s previous stance when he was in the opposition, Annamalai asserted that the primary concern should be the amount of Pongal money distributed. He recalled that during that time, Stalin advocated for a sum of ₹5000, and Annamalai encouraged the public to hold the government accountable to this standard.

How Hindu Seva Kendram’s Pratheesh Vishwanath Is Fighting A Race Against Time For Hindus In Kerala

A few years ago, the leftist-Dravidianist propaganda outlet The News Minute had published an article about how a ‘web of Hindu centres’ in Kerala are trying to stop conversions. The piece tried to deny the menace of Love Jihad while subtly painting a negative picture of the efforts taken by a few organization in bringing converted women back to the Hindu fold. We thought “If it had jittered the likes of TNM, they must be doing something right!”

In Parashurama Kshetram, also anglicised as ‘God’s Own Country’ aka Kerala, Pratheesh Vishwanath, the founder of Hindu Seva Kendram, brought to light the critical issue of Love Jihad. His transformative journey, shared in an interview with The Commune, reflects resilience, selfless service, and an unwavering commitment to Kerala’s cultural heritage. The following are edited excerpts from the interview.

Pratheesh’s early years involved stepping into the world of RSS shakhas at the age of four and a long association with Vishwa Hindu Parishad. Around 2003-2004, he identified the societal undercurrent of Love Jihad and coerced conversions, leading to the inception of a helpline. Over the past 16-17 years, the helpline evolved into a 24-hour call centre, intervening, rescuing, and legally aiding over 12,000 girls from love jihad. Kerala’s High Court bore witness to nearly 5,000 habeas corpus petitions.

The heartening part of this initiative is that what was once a daily deluge of 20-30 cases has now dwindled to a mere 2-3 per month, a testament to the tenacity of their efforts.

In 2012, Pratheesh took a leap, enrolling as an advocate in the Kerala High Court while continuing his activism. The landscape of challenges expanded to conversion issues, reaching into the very fabric of personal and family life. Recognising this gap, the concept of Hindu Seva Kendram was born—a semi-institutional ecosystem designed to counteract issues at the micro-level, where conversions often took root.

The multi-faceted initiative has five core areas of focus.

  1. Annalakshmi Yojana, a programme ensuring that no Hindu goes hungry in Kerala, emerged as the first pillar.
  2. Sanjeevani followed, providing a lifeline of medicines to impoverished Hindus battling chronic illnesses – this was initiated after Pratheesh found children and terminally ill patients converting for medicines.
  3. Suneeti stepped in as a legal aid program, supporting individuals in personal matters, temple issues, and activism.
  4. Assistance in accessing government welfare schemes became the fourth pillar,
  5. While the fifth involved counselling—a network of trained individuals offering guidance on family and personal matters. This is seen to have helped prevent conversions to a large extent.

Pratheesh is ably supported by luminaries like Dr. Sathish Kumar, CA Sreekumar Mankuzhy who functions as the Treasurer, and advocate Rajeesh Ramachandran as the General Secretary, and 22 full-time volunteers along with a staggering 3000 active local volunteers, the organisation has made significant strides; they also officially registered as an NGO three years ago

The methodology was elegant in its simplicity—a committee for each Panchayat, with eleven members at the helm, and within each ward, a seven-member committee. Their reach extends to 247 Panchayats, where nearly 44,000 homes receive sustenance, and 26,000 patients find solace in the medicines provided. Yet, Pratheesh’s passion extends beyond these numbers. It’s etched in the stories of 6,000-7,000 Muslim girls returning to Hinduism in the past year, and more than 200 Christian families embracing Hinduism through their efforts.

The year 2023 saw several key milestones achieved. These include the monthly distribution of ₹18 lakhs worth of medicines to 300 Hindu families and providing ₹9 lakhs worth of food items to over 250 families. Hindu Seva Kendram’s initiatives extended to a ₹75 lakh drinking water project for Kuttanad, the construction of toilets for 14 Hindu families, and the renovation of housing for 8 families. Additionally, they facilitated the marriages of 14 needy Hindu girls, rescued 15 girls from the clutches of love jihad, and assisted in the Gharwapsi of 85 families back to Hinduism in the second half of 2023. Through crowdfunding, they raised over ₹3 crores for treatment assistance, generated employment opportunities for 230+ Hindus, and offered educational support to 135 Hindu children.

The marriage of girl who got reconverted to Hinduism was conducted with the help of Hindu Seva Kendram

The Hindu Seva Kendram stands as a beacon of assistance, transcending political divides to aid any Hindu in need – irrespective of political affiliation. Initially, the call centre’s ringing echoes bore witness to the distress calls of girls ensnared in love jihad. Today, with issues like love jihad and conversions waning, the conversation steers to the most pressing issue at hand – the liberation of Hindu temples from government control. With rallies echoing in different parts of the state, there are plans to amp up the voices in the coming days. Another critical issue at this juncture is the encroachment seen on temple properties that are being handled legally by the team. At this point, it is also important to recognise Pratheesh’s contribution to the Sabarimala temple movement as well in 2018.

Pratheesh has endured formidable resistance from the government, the radical elements as well as the Communists known for their uncouth behaviour. Physical attacks and myriad challenges marked their path, but in the face of adversity, the spirit of Swabhimani Hindus prevailed. A decision to stand firm, resist migration, and defy conversion resonates as they pledge not to let Kerala become another Kashmir.

The conversation then pivots to the underlying issue – the demographic conundrum that Kerala grapples with coupled with an acute time deficiency. Pratheesh tells us about the 2011 census where Hindus constituted 54%, yet by 2018, birth rates revealed a sobering truth. With Muslim birth rates surpassing Hindus, a looming spectre of demographical imbalance emerged. In the 2011 census, the birth rate for Hindus stood at 44%. But in 2018 when the birthrate and death rate data came out, the Muslim birth rate shot up to 43.5% and Hindus reduced to 40%. The death rate among Hindus rose to 60% while it was at 20% for Muslims. In this scenario, by the year 2035, nearly half of the population under the age of 20 will be Muslim. This demographic shift raises concerns about potential imbalances, emphasising the need for proactive measures before 2030.

Speaking about the volunteers involved in the organisation, Pratheesh tells us that most prominently, a mosaic of women and spirited youths, ranging from 15 to 35 years of age, breathe life into the cause. Each step they take is a testament to a shared commitment, a generation standing as custodians of tradition.

The conversation pivots to the intricate dance between conversion challenges and community resilience. Pratheesh speaks of a grassroots approach – dealing with issues that are plaguing the Hindu population at the grassroots level. In a race against time, Pratheesh shares with us the specific approach to issues affecting specific localities. For example, some places have Balsanskar Kendras, embryonic centers for imparting the essence of Sanatana Dharma, while others focus on counselling or providing food and medicine support to the residents.

As we speak further about demographic changes, Pratheesh highlights yet another critical problem – national security. Kerala, with its 600 kilometers of vulnerable coastline, stands at the precipice. Pseudo-secularism and radical extremism cast shadows, threatening to reshape its destiny. Pratheesh paints a stark reality; the stakes are not just for Keralites but for the entire nation. As Kerala grapples with leftists, urban naxals, and conversion mafias, the urgency for a united stand becomes paramount.

So what else is the solution? He tells us that government intervention in issues like population control, anti-smuggling measures, and strict action against illegal immigration can help significantly.

Kerala faces a severe time crunch and cannot afford to take things slowly. Undeterred by adversity, Pratheesh fights not only for Kerala but for the essence of the nation, a testament to unwavering commitment surpassing boundaries. As we come towards the end of the interview, he says “We Hindus stand resolute – we will not migrate nor will we convert. Our commitment is unwavering; we choose to live here, safeguarding Kerala from becoming another Kashmir. Defeat awaits the radical elements; we’ll face them at any cost.”

Pratheesh’s voice echoes not just a plea for funds but a call to arms for awareness. It’s a rallying cry to stand united, armed with the knowledge that the battle for Kerala’s soul, the land of Adi Shankaracharya, is inseparable from the fate of the nation. Pratheesh implores Hindus to stand united, contribute monetarily as well as in every other way possible, and be the guardian of Kerala’s destiny. Currently, Pratheesh and his team rely on local donations, making it all the more important for Hindus and well-meaning nationalists to contribute in every way to the cause.

There are websites and their owners who at frequent intervals ask you to pay for what you read. Veeramani’s Dravidar Kazhagam Faces Backlash Over Sexually Offensive Remarks Against ‘Dalit Christian’ Activist Who Criticized Kilambakkam Bus Stand

The official handle of Dravidar Kazhagam (DK) Thiruvotriyur has come under fire for making sexually explicit remarks about prominent Dalit Christian activist, Shalin Maria Lawrence.  She is known for her vocal stance against caste discrimination, was targeted by the DK handle in response to one of her posts.

Identifying herself as a ‘Dalit Christian writer’ and an ‘anti-caste activist,’ Shalin Maria Lawrence had shared a post, prompting the DK Thiruvotriyur handle to unleash a barrage of offensive comments. She has posted, “How many days journey will lead to Kilambakam? Should we pack food with us?”

The Dravidar Kazhagam is a rabid anti-Hindu outfit founded by EV Ramasamy Naicker (hailed as ‘Periyar’ by his followers) and is led by K. Veeramani known for spewing hate against Hindus and Hindu Gods. He was the who said that Sanatana Dharma and Hinduism are the same when Udhayanidhi Stalin called for the eradication of Sanatana Dharma.

The outfit claims to be ‘rationalist’ organization that also advocates liberation of women.

Ironically, the DK account replied to Shalin, suggesting that the women activist should “take him” (referring to a man in her post) and “book a room” in a highly inappropriate and sexual manner, followed by advising her to pack her food and go to reach Kilambakkam.

“When going take him and book a room, eat the food that you packed and go. You’ll reach Kilambakkam.”, the DK’s social media handle wrote.

Outraged by the offensive comments, Lawrence took to Twitter to expose the DK Thiruvotriyur handle’s actions. She directly addressed Dravida Kazhagam leader K. Veeramani in her tweet, questioning the standards of their movement and the appropriateness of responding to criticism with such abuse.

She issued a stern warning, threatening to pursue legal action against Dravidar Kazhagam and Veeramani if the offensive tweet was not promptly removed.

Hey you Asiriyan K Veeramani, is this the plight of your organization? You’ll abuse for criticizing? I’ll freaking book a defamation case against your movement. Ask that asshole page admin to immediately remove this post. And stop harassing Dalit women activists. How dare you?“, she wrote.

Shalin Maria, who embraced the ideologies of both DK and DMK despite their widespread mistreatment of women, is now seeking justice having become a victim of their abuse.

This is not the first time that Shalin has come under attack for her criticism of the DMK government.

Earlier in January 2023, DMK MLA Ebenezer threatened Shalin Maria Lawrence, for a social media post against him in which she alleged that he forced a corporation worker to clean the sewer.

“Students Well Informed, They Understand The Agenda Behind”: DMK Gets Another Knock On The Head As Supreme Court Asserts Necessity Of Holding Competitive Exams Like NEET

The Supreme Court has dismissed a petition challenging the DMK’s ongoing signature campaign in Tamil Nadu, which seeks to abolish the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) for medical college admissions across the country.

Dismissing a petition filed against DMK’s anti-NEET signature campaign involving students, a bench comprising Justices Surya Kant and K V Viswanathan emphasized the importance of conducting competitive exams on a national level.

In response to concerns about the emotional distress of children, Justice Kant acknowledged the awareness of the younger generation, stating that they grasp the motives, agendas, and processes, surpassing the understanding of the previous generation.

“Fortunately, now we have a very informed generation. Our children are not so innocent and now they understand everything. They are far ahead of our generation… They understand everything, what is the motive, what is the agenda, how it happens,” Justice Kant observed.

In October 2023, DMK President and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin’s son Udhayanidhi Stalin, who is also a Minister in his father’s cabinet launched a signature campaign against NEET calling for its withdrawal.

There were instances where DMK functionaries barged into government schools and forcefully got signatures from innocent students.

In one such instance, Virugambakkam DMK MLA Prabhakar Raja got signatures from commerce group students who do not even qualify for writing NEET.

“F*** Your Mom”: Passenger In TN Rly Stn Throws Indian Flag In Dustbin, Abuses Another Passenger Who Questions Him

Image Source: Screengrab from Reporter TV video

In a recent incident at Kumbakonam railway station in Tamil Nadu, an unidentified person, verbally attacked a traveller (vlogger) from Kerala who was proudly holding the national flag. Shockingly, the assailant not only forcefully took the flag away but also heartlessly tossed it into a nearby dustbin. Upon seeing this, the vlogger confronted the assailant who was showered with abuses by him. As the man attempted to forcibly take the flag from the vlogger’s hand, a struggle ensued, during which the traveller resisted and shouted “Bharat Matha ki jai”.

The unidentified man again started to abuse “F*** your mom, keep that there” and gripped his hand firmly and snatched it. The distressed traveller sought assistance from the ticket counter who directed him to the police. As he walked towards the police station, a couple of police persons who were patrolling the area came to his assistance. The vlogger explained the situation to them saying, “I am travelling all over India and was shooting video with another man in the mean time he (the unidentified man) snatched the nation flag and throw-ed it into the waste box. I have filmed the entire incident and have proof of it”.

Appalled by the revelation, the female police head constable rebuked the assailant stating “Is it not national flag, get out from here.. What do you think you are doing?.. Even if he slapped in you with a slipper, you deserve it, what have you done to national flag! Don’t you know to respect national flag?”

Netizens hailed the lady constable who swiftly took action against the person who threw the flag into the dustbin.

This incident follows a recent controversy at Chepauk stadium during a World Cup match where fans were prohibited from carrying tricolour flags. It was reported that some police officials confiscated Indian flags and callously discarded them in a dustbin, sparking public anger. Later the same official retrieved the flags kept inside the car from further fueling discontent.

Tamil Nadu, known for its rich cultural history and significant contributions to India’s freedom struggle, bears the distinction of being the birthplace of the first national flag, woven in Gudiyatham, Vellore district. This incident raises questions about the need for increased awareness and respect for our national symbols, urging society to reflect on the values they represent.

Standup Comic Trolls Udhayanidhi Stalin For Needing Father’s & Grandfather’s Help To Build Career

A standup comic’s video clip went viral on social media platforms. The comic Manoj Prabhakaran’s sly dig at Udhayanidhi Stalin caught the attention of the public. This was the opening joke of the hour-long show. In the video trending on the internet, Manoj is seen describing his decision to become a standup comic and that his father who was a conductor, never questioned his intentions. He says, “… But now my father is happy with whatever I do. He said, do whatever you want, don’t ask me money. Valid request and I respect that. And I don’t want my father’s help to build my career, I can do it on my own”

The act takes a funny turn at this point. Manoj says, “Actually most people in the world, they don’t need their father’s help to build their career. They all do it on their own. Unless you are Udhayanidhi Stalin.”

Manoj adds, “Then you need the help of your father, grandfather, Harris Jayaraj, Santhanam, Nayanthara, and 350 others to help you build your career. I know some of you are laughing, some of you are offended. Some of you are like, did he just say that? Is this allowed? Some of you are like who is this Udhayanidhi? I understand the confusion and that’s exactly how I want my audience to be divided in all my shows.”

The standup comic was already in the news in 2018 for allegedly mocking Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu. In that video, he calls Mahesh Babu, the male version of Katrina Kaif as he had good looks but could not emote well in films.

He was abused brutally by fans of the actor and he later apologised for making those comments.

It remains to be seen in this case if followers and fans of DMK’s Udhayanidhi Stalin also behave similarly to the Telugu star’s fans.
