Local Media Reports Say DMK Goons Allegedly Beat Woman To Death For Voting BJP, Annamalai Condemns, TN Police Calls It Fake News And Goes After Netizen

On 19 April 2024, it was reported that a woman named Gomathi was beaten to death allegedly by DMK goons in Pakkirimaniyam village, Cuddalore district, Tamil Nadu.

Allegedly, they attacked her because she had voted for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during the voting process in the state.

According to reports, the assailants confronted Gomathi at her home, engaging in a verbal altercation before physically assaulting her.  Nakkheeran reported that witnesses claimed the attackers questioned her choice of vote, stating, “Why didn’t you vote for our party?” Sadly, Gomathi succumbed to her injuries at the scene. However, this article has now been deleted by Nakkheeran, which is a pro-DMK propaganda outlet. The same has been archived here

Several mainstream news outlets, even pro-DMK ones such as Nakkheeran had reported this news. It was published all over the media channels such as Dinamalar and Tamil Hindu.

With such news gaining traction, it spread like wildfire on social media channels as well. Tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata Party president K Annamalai also took cognisance of the alleged incident and posted it on his official X handle of it.

The video of the alleged news report was shared several times on social media. The Tamil Nadu police later refuted the notion of a political motive behind the incident, asserting instead that the woman’s death stemmed from a dispute between two families. According to a statement issued by the Cuddalore District Police in response to the incident’s reports, the woman tragically passed away after falling while intervening to halt a confrontation between the two families.

Cuddalore Police shared a press release in response to Tamil Hindu’s article on the same news item. The press release stated, “On 19.04.2024 at around 06.00 in the evening, a verbal dispute took place between the two parties in front of a banyan tree in Pakirimaniam village under Srimushnam police station limits. On one side Kalaimani, his wife Deepa, and his relatives Ravi, Pandian, Indumani, Arulchezhian, Dharmaraj, Meghanathan, Raja, Vignesh (all Vanniyars), and on the other side Jayashankar, his elder brother Jayakumar, Jayakumar’s wife Gomati and their sons Satishkumar, and Jayaprakash (all Vanniyars). The argument erupted over Jayasankar’s daughter Jayapriya’s teasing and refusal to accede to Kalaimani’s long-standing plea to withdraw the case against him for assaulting Jayakumar. In this dispute, both parties attacked each other unarmed, when Gomathi (Jayakumar’s wife) intervened and tried to stop the problem, she fell down and got injured. Gomathi was pronounced dead when he was taken to Antimadam PHC for first aid and treatment. In this connection, Srimushnam PS Cr.No. 96/2024 U/s 147, 148, 294 (b), 323, 324, 506(ii), 302 IPC r/w 4 of TN Prohibition of Harassment Act registered on 20.04.2024 at 01.00. Out of the total 10 accused persons, five namely 1. Kalaimani 2. Deepa (wife of Kalaimani) 3. Ravi 4. Meghanathan and 5. Indumani were arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 20.04.2024. were implicated.

In the investigation so far, it has been stated that the above incident was due to an animosity between the two parties and that the attack happened because of voting in favor of a particular party as mentioned in the video, which is completely false. And the video related to this incident is totally fake.”

The Tamil Nadu Police, however, seemed to target only one netizen who had shared the video of the news report about Gomathi’s death. They posted on their social media handle warning the netizen of legal action for sharing “false news”.

The netizen had already deleted the said post and yet TN Police said it would take legal action against him. No such statements were made by TN Police against the news portals that carried this news item in the first place.

Azhagumuthu Kone: A Symbol Of Boundless Bravery Pitted Against A Hoodlum Yusuf Khan

“Those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.”
– Winston Churchill.

Preface

We read in our history books that our first war of independence was in 1857. But, the fight for freedom and the roaring war cry for routing the enemies started long before that in many parts of our motherland which were covertly concealed by pseudo historians, lest such inspiring accounts will ignite the flame of patriotism in the future generations and spur them into . Now having been provided enough information with the advent of internet, is it not our bounden duty to bring to limelight biographies of all those intrepid heroes?

Azhagumuthu Kone: A Background

We all remember the famous dialogue in the film, ‘Veerapandiya Kattabomman’, where the hero asks the british collector Jackson, ‘On what basis you are demanding tax from us? Why should we pay tax for you? Rain downpours and the crops grow; what did you do for us, for our farmers or for the womenfolk toiling in the field?’ This clarion call was actually much earlier in 1795 raised by one Azhagamuthu Kone as early as 1750. Therefore, Maveeran Azhagamuthu Kone (11 July 1728 – 19 July 1759), an Indian polygar from Kattalankulam in Thoothukudi District, was the India’s first freedom fighter. He was in fact, the forerunner of freedom fight even before the famous Panchalankurichi Veerapandiya Kattabomman and Nerkattaan Seval Poolithevan entered the scene. Even though our notorious historians have ignored him completely, still we can gather details of his fame from folklores and street-plays prevailing in plenty among the people at large.

The History

Azhagamuthu Kone was born in the royal family of Kattalankulam (Tirunelvelu district) in the year 1710 CE. Even from his childhood, he developed exceptional skills in martial arts and won many contests and was noted for his gallantry and tenacity. After his father’s death in the Anumanthakudi war in 1750, he assumed the throne.

During that period, British East India Company was looking for ways and means to take over power from the hindu kings and muslim sultans. After the battle of Plassey in 1757, British slowly started taking over control of territories and appointed nawabs, nizams etc. to collect taxes on their behalf.

Azhaghamuthu Kone opposed this. Taking it as a challenge to the self-respect and sovereignty, he not only refused to pay taxes but also influenced other fellow Palayakarars not to pay. This infuriated the british and they sent Colonel Heron and one Marudanayagam alias Yusuf Khan, to collect taxes on their behalf. This Marudanayagam, a hindu converted to Islam was a knave, an opportunist and an obnoxious stooge of the british.

In the battle that ensued in Pethanayakanur Fort in 1759 CE, Azhaghamuthu Kone gave a tough fight to the British forces led by that Marudanayagam. The enormous size and the superior weaponry of the opposing army did not deter Azhagamuthu Kone and his brave soldiers thanks to his inspiring leadership qualities. That wicked Marudanayagam, having realised that Azhaghamuthu Kone cannot be defeated in a straight fight, resorted to treacherous tactics and on the betrayal of one traitor Siva Sankaran Pillai, attacked him and his troops when they were asleep in the night. Six of his war commanders alongwith 248 loyal subjects were captured. In the course of his encounters Marudanayagam destroyed a few temples also.

His Gruesome End

To prevent Azhaghamuthu Kone from escaping, Marudanayakam as soon as he was caught shot him in his legs and tied him with iron chains. Marudanayagam asked him to plead for clemency and pay taxes, so that he can be let off. Resolute and relentless that he was, Azhaghamuthu Kone naturally scoffed at that offer with disdain and daringly declared that the british have no right to collect taxes in our nation. He refused to yield as a true warrior and preferred martyrdom to servility. Being an uncivilised primitive barbaric cannibal, Marudanayagam cut the right hands of all the 248 loyal subjects. Historical evidence point to the fact that after 248 hands were chopped off, the place looked terrible with a large pool of blood. Believe it or not that even after that torture, those 248 subjects, imbued with a spirit of patriotism, refused to yield and raised slogans against the british and hailed Azhaghamuthu Kone for his determination!

This further infuriated Marudanayagam and the british. They killed all the 248 loyal subjects, in spite of Azhaghamuthu Kone’s repeated plea to let them off. After killing 248 people, Azhaghamuthu Kone and his 6 commanders were all tied to the cannon mouth by that monster marauder and cannon balls were fired. Azhaghamuthu Kone and his six commanders were blasted to pieces and thus they laid down their lives in the service of motherland. This brutal barbaric killing happened in the intervening night of Friday and early dawn of Saturday on 18th November, 1757. What a devilish, barbaric, inhuman sadism!

Thus Azhagamuthu Kone died along with his six generals. The body was dismembered and the inscription on the cannon mound in the middle of the forest tells about this event.

The detailed life and history of Azhaghamuthu Kone (1710 to 1759 CE) was chronicled in the book “Vamsamani Deepikai” written by one Swami Deekshidhar in 1878, which enables us now to know about this brave son of Bharat Mata.

Azhagumuthu Kone, while dying, roared as under at the cannon gate:

“Lord Krishna! My Bharata mother! I made a revolution for the Tamil people. I fought for the rights of the Tamil land. I will die for the Tamil land. Servaimagan Azhagumuthu, who was descended from the Tamil king Azhagappa kone, who invaded Kalangadu and went to Ilangapuri by sea and defeated the Arya emperor, is standing at the cannon gate today. On that day the war of India started with the sacrifice of Aravan and today the liberation begins with the sacrifice of Aagumuthu and his soldiers. Let the slogan of liberation started by the Tamils in Athangaraikottai in Tenkodi today resound throughout Akanda Bharat. Let the flag raised by the Tamils today fly as a flag of liberation tomorrow. Today it is Azhagumuthu, tomorrow hundreds of Azhagumuthu kones will come…….”.

After the end of the war, the Kattalangulam palace and the fort built by Azhagumuthu Kone were destroyed by the British. Now the house where he lived is seen in ruins.

A Tragic Legacy

Now we see the strange spectacle of the true patriot Azhagamuthu Kone being left in the limbo by our current ‘historians’, while everyone rushes ridiculously to rave over the other fellow!

Moreover, this is not the only brutality of Marudanayagam [alias Yusuf Khan]. At the directive of his boss, the British, he had also several encounters with another polygar chieftain Poolithevan. He perfidiously killed Vennikkaladi, a brave general of Poolithevan. He has the cruellest record of hanging 500 pallars on a single day!

While such a ruthless savagery is not heard of anywhere in the annals of history nor even in mythological accounts of yore, readers will be shocked to know that this same Marudanayagam [alias Yusuf Khan], a traitor, a brutal beast, a sadistic Satan, a ferine biped, a treacherous turncoat is being attempted to be portrayed as a patriotic freedom fighter by some dubious charlatans in Tamil Nadu! What a disdainful derisive mockery of history!! As if adding salt to the wound that even today there are many places in Madurai and other places in Tamil Nadu continuing to commemorate this rascal by naming places like Khansa puram, Khansa medu, Khan Sahib Street, Khansa palayam, Khan Sahib canal etc. and perpetuating fake history!!

For a detailed biography of this Marudanayagam alias Yusuf Khan, readers may please refer to the following article in The Commune titled “Marudanayagam Aka Yusuf Khan: A Fake, Fraud, Friend Of The Fiendish Foreign Foes Falsely And Flagrantly Lionised

DMK Goons Allegedly Beat Woman To Death For Voting BJP In Lok Sabha Polls, Annamalai Condemns, TN Police Calls It Fake News

On the 19th of April, a group of individuals associated with the Dravidra Munnetra Kazagham (DMK) reportedly assaulted a woman named Gomathi in Pakkirimaniyam village, Cuddalore district, Tamil Nadu.

Allegedly, they attacked her because she had voted for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

According to Dinamalar and OpIndia, the assailants confronted Gomathi at her home, engaging in a verbal altercation before physically assaulting her with severe consequences.

Witnesses claim the attackers questioned her choice of vote, stating, “Why didn’t you vote for our party?” Sadly, Gomathi succumbed to her injuries at the scene, as reported by Nakkheeran.

Upon receiving notification, law enforcement promptly intervened, transferring her body to Vrudhachalam Government Hospital for post-mortem examination. The police are currently pursuing seven suspects—identified as Arul, Pandian, Arivumani, Ravi, Raja, Kalaimani, and Dharmaraj—in connection with the incident.

Additionally, three women have been apprehended for their alleged involvement in Gomathi’s murder. This tragic event unfolded amidst the backdrop of Tamil Nadu’s Lok Sabha elections, held on the same day, where the ruling DMK government faces a formidable challenge from the BJP led by Annamalai.

In an X post, Annamalai condemned the brutal incident saying “DMK’s dictatorial tendency to do away with even the basic right of voting given to the citizens by the Constitution is very dangerous for democracy. Chief Minister Stalin, who dreams of saving India, must first look at the task of saving the people of Tamil Nadu from his party members. I urge immediate arrest and strict action against those involved in this crime.

After the incident triggered outrage on social media, the Cuddalore District Police share a press release saying that the crime is a result of a personal feud denying any political angle.

According to the police, there was a verbal altercation between two groups near a Banyan tree woman. The police went to mention the names involved emphasizing that both the groups were Vanniyars.

The police version further added that the argument erupted over Jayasankar’s daughter Jayapriya’s teasing and refusal to accede to Kalaimani’s long-standing plea to withdraw the case against him for assaulting Jayakumar.

“In this dispute, both parties attacked each other unarmed, when Gomathi (Jayakumar’s wife) intervened and tried to stop the problem, she fell down and got injured. Indumani were arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 20.04.2024. were implicated.”, the police statement said.

“Udhayanidhi Stalin Should Be Punished”: Telangana Congress CM Revanth On DMK Scion’s “Eradicate Sanatana Dharma” Remarks

In an interview to Times Now, Congress leader and Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy came down on DMK scion Udhayanidhi Stalin for his “eradicate Santana Dharma” remarks.

“The remarks made by your alliance partner DMK on Sanatana Dharma, do you think it is right?”, asks Navika Kumar to which Revanth replies “It is absolutely wrong. Who says it is right? It is his mindset.”

When asked who from the Congress has condemned Udhayanidhi Stalin’s remarks, he further goes on to say “I’m Telangana Congress President. I’m the Chief Minister of the state. It is necessary to punish people like him.

Back in September 2023, Udhayanidhi Stalin, who is also a Minister in his father MK Stalin’s cabinet stoked controversy by calling for the eradication of Sanatana Dharma (Hinduism) just like how dengu, malaria, corona and mosquitoes are to be eradicated.

Participating in a conference titled “Eradicate Sanatana Conference”, DMK Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin said “Mosquitoes, dengue, flu, malaria, corona – we should not oppose these things. They’ve to be eradicated completely. Same is the case with Santanam (Hinduism). Our first work should be to abolish/eradicate Sanatanam instead of opposing it. So, my appreciations to you all for giving an apt title to the meeting.”

Ironically, the “Eradicate Sanatana Conference” was also attended by Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) Minister PK Sekar Babu.

Udhayanidhi’s comments had triggered a national outrage putting the I.N.D.I alliance in a fix. Many members of the Opposition alliance including the TMC, AAP and other parties distanced themselves from Udhayanidhi’s remarks. However, Congress ‘President’ Mallikarjun Kharge’s son and Karnataka Congress Minister Priyank Kharge gave tacit approval to Udhayanidhi’s “eradicate Sanatana Dharma” remarks.

Tamil Nadu Police Clear Isha Foundation Of Wrongdoing In Missing Volunteers Case

The Tamil Nadu police announced on 18 April 2024 that they had cleared Isha Foundation of any wrongdoing regarding the disappearance of six volunteers from its yoga center at the base of Velliangiri in Coimbatore district. They stated that most of the missing volunteers had returned, having left the center for personal reasons.

This announcement came during proceedings before Justices MS Ramesh and Sunder Mohan, who were overseeing a habeas corpus petition filed by C Thirumalai of Kulasekarapatti in Tirunelveli district, concerning his missing brother C Ganesan since March 2023.

According to the petitioner, Ganesan was serving as a volunteer at the yoga center. He received a call from the center on 2 March 2024, inquiring about Ganesan’s whereabouts, which alerted him to his brother’s disappearance. The center’s administrator, Dinesh, filed a complaint with the Alandurai police on 5 March 2024, leading to a missing person case being registered. As Ganesan remained untraceable, Thirumalai filed the habeas corpus petition.

During the hearing, Additional Public Prosecutor E Raj Thilak informed the court that 36 individuals, including employees and volunteers at the Isha Yoga Center, had been questioned. However, more time was requested to compile a comprehensive status report.

Responding to queries about other missing volunteers mentioned in previous hearings, the prosecutor stated that while five more volunteers were initially reported missing, most had since returned to the center, attributing their absence to personal reasons.  The Madras High Court cautioned that if the petitioner, who lodged the lawsuit concerning his brother’s disappearance, fails to attend the hearing, the case will be dismissed. Notably, neither the petitioner nor his attorney were present during the hearing, as observed by the bench. Consequently, the judges took note of the submissions made in their absence and instructed the High Court registry to schedule the case for 7 June 2024, with the designation “For Dismissal,” emphasizing that it would represent the final opportunity for the petitioner to appear.

BJP Leader Ashvathaman Levels Complaint To ECI Against DMK Influencing Voters By Offering Money In Tiruvannamalai Constituency On Election Day

The eagerly awaited 2024 parliamentary elections have dawned, with citizens displaying enthusiastic participation since the early hours, demonstrating a strong commitment to upholding democracy. However, concerning reports and allegations have surfaced, indicating that the ruling DMK government is potentially leveraging its authority to influence voters by offering monetary incentives to support their alliance.

A Ashvathaman, the State Secretary of the Tamil Nadu BJP and the Lok Sabha candidate for the Tiruvannamalai constituency, has leveled up a complaint with the Election Commission of India. He alleges widespread money distribution by the DMK in Booths 110 and 111 of Melarani in the Kalasapakkam area. Despite his requests for assistance from the flying squad, they failed to arrive promptly. So, he headed to where the money was being distributed. An argument erupted between the two groups, but local leaders stepped in to ensure a peaceful resolution.

Ashvathaman on his official X account stated, “I went there after receiving information that DMK was distributing money to voters near Melarani booth 110 and 111 in Kalasapakkam area. Flying Squad still not here despite complaint @ECISVEEP @SpokespersonECI”

How The Likes Of Mohammed Zubair Are Amping Up The Spread Of Disinformation By Pakistani ‘Docu Filmmaker’

An India-abusing, Pakistani ‘filmmaker’ comes up with a ‘documentary’ on disinformation in India – which is legitimized and hyped by Pakistan Jamaat’s newfound lover Mohammed Zubair.

The documentary about the ‘menace of fake news’ from India is produced by Pakistani origin US-based Shehzad Hameed Ahmad, who has worked for various Pakistani portals including the Dawn News & Capital News.

Ahmad has also produced ‘award-winning’ documentaries on India’s secular image. Not surprisingly, the Pak-origin filmmaker has never produced anything on religious freedom in Pakistan. He though, has been issuing ‘secularism’ certificates to India.

His ‘love’ for India is quite visible – from giving anti-India remarks at an event post the Leicester riots to abusing the Indian Cricket Team (ICT) to seeking separation of Kashmir from India. A few of his vocabulary gems include addressing the ICT as “pussy cat” & “loved the way “our” team “b*tt f*cked” India

In 2022 Ahmad made a ‘documentary’ on India, supporting the blacklist of India for sliding religious freedom by Pak Jamaat-infiltrated USCIRF. And now he has decided to pontificate on fake news in India?! Talking about religious freedom, remember he hails from Pakistan?

Coming to his recent documentary: it is essentially a recycle of another US-based Paki origin propagandist Raqib Hameed Naik, whose propaganda front Hindutva Watch (HW) was being run from Pakistan. Zubair had peddled Hindutva Watch & Naik’s narrative against India consistently. To understand this whole operation, we need not look beyond AltNews founder & Raqib’s good old pal, Mohammed Zubair – most of Hindutva Watch’s data replicates Zubair’s posts. Same method– hype one-sided hate. So much for a DC-based think tank!

Following the expose, Raqib set up a new front ‘India Hate Lab’ (IHL). Both these propaganda portals are currently banned in India. So now another Pakistani propagandist has come to legitimize Naik in India through a documentary.

After facing a ban in India, Hindutva Watch’s alleged masters have launched another propaganda outlet called “India Hate Lab” (IHL), led by Raqib Hameed Naik, former news director of Two Circles, a known Islamist project. Raqib has ties to the Sound Vision Foundation USA (SV), led by Abdul Malik Mujahid, former head of ICNA, a US arm of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan. ICNA has connections to Pakistani terror groups like LeT. Raqib’s association with TCN and SV suggests collaboration with Pakistan-backed forces aiming to destabilize India.

Md Zubair, known for fact-checking during the day and alleged propaganda peddling at night, is among the first to amplify IHL’s propaganda. Despite his claims of fact-checking, Zubair and Altnews reportedly never addressed the blatant fake news propagated by Hindutva Watch. Other domestic actors like Rana Ayyub also support Raqib and Zubair’s narratives without scrutiny.

“India Hate Lab” disguises itself as a research team but continues Hindutva Watch’s agenda under a new name. Despite criticism, figures like Zubair persist in supporting anti-India narratives, while mainstream outlets like The Hindu and its sub-editor Aaratrika defend Hindutva Watch without investigating its propaganda.

To what extent Raqib & Co. are engrained with Pak Jamaat- he was first popped up by ‘Sound Vision’, a Pak Jamaat project in the US run by Abdul Malik Mujahid, a Jamaat protégé. Sound Vision’s parent organisation ICNA had the tradition of glorifying terrorists – ICNA publication had glorified terrorist Syed Salahuddin.

Ahmads and Naiks are the next-generation foot soldiers from the Pak-Jamaat stable, and instead of terror, now they are waging info-war against India. However, what an Indian influencer gains from the Pak Jamaat narrative is still unclear. And this is not the first time.

Earlier, Zubair tried to legitimize another Jamaat front IAMC, calling it a ‘US-based Civil Society’ group. All his expertise in digital forensics disappears when it comes to digging into the background of Pakistani Jamaat fronts?!

Zubair had also legitimized Hindutva Watch and Raqib Naik – despite both of them being repeatedly exposed for peddling fake news and unsubstantiated data. It seems Zubair has decided to be a martyr for the cause, in the tradition of Jamaat-e-Islami.

Dravidian Model: Lack Of Buses To Hometown Leaves Passengers Stranded At Kilambakkam Bus Stand Just Before Election Day

The Lok Sabha elections for Puducherry and Tamil Nadu are taking place on 19 April 2024 and that had sparked a fervent movement of people returning to their hometowns to cast their votes. This surge has brought several cities, including Chennai, Coimbatore, and Tirupur, to a standstill.

With 39 constituencies in Tamil Nadu and one in Puducherry, political parties have vigorously campaigned over the past month in hopes of securing victory. As the campaigning draws to a close, anticipation for the elections has peaked, prompting many to prioritize their civic duty and travel back to their roots.

The timing of the elections, falling on a Friday with the subsequent Saturday and Sunday declared holidays, has facilitated this mass exodus to hometowns. Consequently, Chennai has witnessed a significant increase in traffic along major routes like GST Road, Anna Road, and Nehru Road, with congestion extending all the way to Chengalpattu. Railway stations have also experienced heavy footfall, with trains like Pallavan, Vaigai, and others overflowing with passengers, some even occupying reserved compartments without tickets.

In this situation the passengers flocked to Kilambakkam, Chennai on 18 April 2024, eager to journey to their hometowns to cast their votes. However, chaos ensued when they found themselves amidst a sudden protest in the dead of night, triggered by the lack of bus facilities.

Despite the Tamil Nadu Transport Department announcing special services planned to cover various regions of the state through government transport corporations, the bus terminals, especially those operating routes to Coimbatore, Madurai, Cuddalore, Chidambaram, Puducherry, Villupuram, and Thiruvannamalai districts, experienced overwhelming crowds of travelers. This led to overcrowded platforms and buses.

The frustrated passengers, who had assembled in anticipation of their rides to their hometowns, erupted into protests, citing insufficient bus availability. Post-midnight, bus frequencies dwindled, exacerbating the situation. Although special election buses were deployed, they were largely pre-booked, leaving many stranded in Kilambakkam without transportation. In a display of their discontent, some took to blocking the national highway, causing significant traffic disruptions.

Police intervention ensued as protesters attempted to occupy buses, leading to negotiations to defuse the tension. Alternative transportation arrangements were eventually arranged, but the congestion at the Kilambakkam bus station persisted amid the upheaval.

Previously in February 2024, the Kilambakkam Kalaignar Centenary Bus Terminus (KCBT) faced escalating public dissatisfaction and demonstrations over the restricted bus operations. This led to extended waiting times and reported bus shortages, particularly evident during festivals. The DMK Transport Minister, Sivasankar, stated that buses were only running to Trichy, with no availability for other destinations, citing safety concerns for long-distance travelers beyond certain hours. This practice of limiting bus operations between 12 o’clock and 4 o’clock is longstanding, attributed to safety concerns on National Highways with heavy lorry traffic during those hours. However, despite efforts to address the situation by increasing bus services and arranging special buses, the issues persist.
