‘Pakistan army leading one of the divisions of the Taliban’: Afghanistan Vice President Amrullah Saleh

According to a Facebook post posted by Afganistan Vice President Amrullah Saleh, the Taliban are divided into three divisions from an organisational standpoint and the first of which is led by Pakistan’s special anti-terrorist teams.

In part of this article, he wrote: “From an organizational point of view, the strength of the enemy is divided into three parts — The first section deals with trained personnel directly guided by special Pakistani counter-insurgency units/nuclei from Peshawar-Quetta and elsewhere. Google communication tools and maps make it very easy. The second part is the local parts that work under the name of the military commission, and they do not play many roles except by extorting money from the people and imposing parties on the local people. The third part is the recent recruits and summonses, who have no morals.”

According to a news report by Tolo News, the withdrawal of foreign troops, mainly the American troops from Afghanistan created a very immediate vacuum, “but that government forces were in order,” said Saleh,

Saleh also said if the Taliban gain more land, they will still not be able to rule the country as the people who are now under their control are suffering.

Some members of the Afghanistan House of Representatives said that men and women must take up arms and stand up to preserve the system and the achievements of the past decades, reported Tolo News.

Mir Rahman Rahmani, Speaker of the House of Representatives, said, “I ask all respected lawyers to stand bravely by your people and fight the enemy for your material and spiritual possessions.”

“Let’s unite and stand by the security forces,” said Reyhaneh Azad, a Daikundi MP.

The Members of the Afghan Parliament accused the Taliban of violating the human rights of the people in several districts they control.

‘You won’t be able to have office in any district’: VCK spokesperson threatens Dinamalar, stokes secessionism

VCK Spokesperson Vikraman has issued threats to Tamil daily Dinamalar and made secessionist remarks in an interview with the YouTube channel RedPix.

The DMK and their alliance partners have been upset after Dinamalar published an article speculating the intention of the Central government to form a separate state Kongu Nadu from Tamil Nadu. On behalf of Viduthalai Siruthaigal Katchi, he threatened Dinamalar that if they publish articles on Kongu Nadu, they will not let the publication’s office function in any district.

He alleged that the RSS is testing waters through Dinamalar to separate Tamil Nadu into different states and called it a ‘yellow paper’.

Stoking secessionism, he said,”How can the BJP claim that Kongu Nadu is the people’s will? Was there a referendum in the Kongu region? Shall we have a referendum be held to determine if Tamil Nadu wants to remain in India or not? ”

Dr. Ramadoss of Pattali Makkal Katchi, according to VCK Vikraman, is backing the split of Tamil Nadu in order to place his son Anbumani as Chief Minister of a state made up of northern districts where Vanniyars are the majority.

He went on to say that the demand for a Tamil Nadu flag has been long overdue and that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin should hoist the flag on the state’s foundation day.

He further said that the demand for Tamil Nadu’s secession from India is still alive and remains one of the core principles of VCK.

It should be noted that the video has received over 16000 views, yet Tamil Nadu Police have taken no action in response to his separatist remarks.

R. Vikraman is a self-proclaimed ‘journalist’ who took refuge in Thol. Thirumavalavan’s Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), has been accused of sexual harassing a man under the pretext of conducting an audition a few months ago.

In the State of Tamil Nadu, Cine Heroes have risen (sic) as rulers of the State and therefore, the people are under the impression that they are the real heroes. Thus, they are not expected to behave like a reel heroes. Tax evasion is to be construed as anti-national habit, attitude and mindset and unconstitutional.”

“These Actors are portraying themselves as champion to bring the social justice in the society. Their pictures are against corrupt activities in the society. But, they are evading tax and acting in a manner, which is not in consonance with the provisions of the Statutes”, the order further noted.

BJP to intensify protests in Kerala amidst surge in crime against women

As the number of sexual harassment of women and child rape cases have been on the rise in the Communist-ruled Kerala, the chief of the state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP),  K Surendran alleged on Monday (July 12) that the Pinarayi Vijayan led government is taking no action to reduce crime against women in Kerala and that the BJP will raise this issue all over the state with rallies in the coming days.

This outrage comes in the wake of a six-year-old girl who was allegedly raped and murdered in the Idukki district and Surendran demanded a complaint be filed against the Left MLA, who allegedly said that the victim’s post-mortem is unnecessary and also alleged that the CPM MLA had tried to sabotage the case.

“Arjun is an active worker of the youth wing of CPI(M) in Kerala who brutally raped and murdered a six-year-old child in Vandiperiyar. The sitting MLA of the ruling front vehemently opposed the post – mortem of the victim. The Kerala Police should book the MLA under POCSO,” Surendran said.

“BJP will intensify protests in coming days against the crime against women and children in Kerala,” he said.

“If the perpetrators are to be punished, they must be prosecuted by those in the administration but instead they are protecting them. Kerala is one of the leading states in the country where the accused in cases of sexual harassment go unpunished. Defendants escape because they are the ruling party,” Surendran added.

V Muraleedharan, senior BJP leader and Minister of State for External Affairs in a tweet said, “The rise in no of crimes against women and Children in Kerala speak volumes of the misgovernance of the Pinarayi Vijayan regime. It’s shameful that women and children feel unsafe in God’s own country. CPI(M) led Kerala Govt has been protecting and sheltering perpetrators,”.

Kongu Naadu should be made separate state for administrative convenience says Kongu Munnetra Kazhagam President Best Ramasamy

Following the report by Dinamalar in which it stated that the Central government is mulling over the option of creating a separate Kongu Nadu, debates and discussions on the topic has begun with the idea getting both supporters and naysayers.

In this light, Best Ramasamy, a prominent textile manufacturer and the President of Kongu Munnetra Kazhagam President, in a press meet said that Kongu region (comprising of 10-11 districts in Western Tamil Nadu) should be made a separate state for administrative convenience.

He also alleged that subsequent governments in Tamil Nadu have done nothing for the area except for collecting revenue from the region. He said that 66% of the tax revenue goes to the Government of Tamil Nadu from these 11 districts of Kongu region while the region remains neglected adding that creation of a separate state would lead to development of the region.

“We’ve been making the request since 1976. We want the Kongu region to prosper. The Kongu Nadu demand is not just for the Gounder community but for every one in the region. We are not asking for a separate country but for a separate state which the Indian Constitution allows.” he said pointing out that Dr. Ramadoss, the head of PMK had been placing the demand for a separate ‘Vada Thamizhagam’ (Northern Tamil Nadu).

He also said that the 10.5% internal quota for Vanniyars was wrong and that reservation should be given on economic grounds.

“We will strengthen the demand for Kongu Nadu by bringing all communities together. We have petitioned the Central government regarding the request and we are hoping to meet the Prime Minister soon”, he said.
