Man Hacked To Death At Coimbatore In Broad Daylight, Opposition Attacks DMK Over State Of Law & Order

A 24-year-old man was hacked to death near the Combined Court Complex in Gopalapuram on Monday (13 February 2023) morning, a day after a person accused in a murder case was hacked and shot to death in Coimbatore.

G. Gokul of Kavundampalayam has been identified as the deceased. According to police, he was involved in a murder in 2021. When he arrived at the court with his friend Manoj (27), a five-member gang assaulted him with machetes, according to police.

The gang attacked the duo on the road leading to the court complex’s back gate while members of the public and lawyers stood nearby. The road was tense as the men chased and assaulted the victims with their weapons. Videos of the assault are being circulated on social media platforms. While four of the assailants walked off with weapons, one man was seen fleeing on a motorcycle. Manoj was admitted to the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital while Gokul died on the spot.

According reports, Gokul was one of the suspects in the December 2021 murder of a 22-year-old youth near Saravanampatti in Coimbatore. Gokul and his accomplices chased V. Sriram alias ‘Kurangu’ Sriram, a resident of Sampath Street in Rathinapuri, with weapons in Anjugam Nagar near Chinnavedampatti and hacked him to death after pursuing him on motorcycles for nearly 5 kilometres.

The murder of Gokul on Monday is believed to be retaliation by the opponent gang.

V. Balakrishnan, Commissioner of Coimbatore City Police, told journalists that five special teams have been formed to apprehend the assailants.

R. Sathyapandi (31) of Arapalayam in Madurai, murder case accused who worked for realtor in Coimbatore, was hacked and shot by group of men on Sunday at Uppilipalayam. Around 7 p.m., a group of five men converged on Sathyapandi near a private college on Nava India Road in Pappanaickenpalayam. They hacked and shot Sathyapandi as he ran for his life. He died as a result of two shots and multiple cut injuries.

Tamil Nadu BJP president Annamalai came down heavily on the DMK government for the break down of law and order in the state. He said,” Yesterday alone, two murders occurred in Coimbatore in public and in the court complex. Not only that, but also gun culture has started growing in Tamil Nadu. The state’s law and order has been in shambles since the DMK took power. Murder and robbery have become more common across the state. The police have their hands tied. There is an unsafe situation for the police themselves.”

He added,”The incompetent DMK government has sent all the ministers to the Erode East by-election mission and created an unsafe situation for the lives and property of the people of Tamil Nadu. I urge the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, on behalf of the BJP, to focus on law and order, which is the basic duty of the government, and to take strict measures so that the public can live without fear.”

Leader of Opposition Edappadi K. Palaniswami too lambasted the DMK government while listing down a spate of crimes that has happened recently pointing out at the plight of law and order in the state

Maharashtra: Imtiyaz Sexually Assaults Ex-Girlfriend, Forces Her To Lick His Spit As Punishment For Breaking Up

A 22-year-old man named Imtiyaz Chaudhary was arrested by the Kashimira police at Mira Road in Maharashtra for assaulting and raping his estranged girlfriend.

The accused had reportedly recorded the act and was using it to blackmail her. The incident reportedly took place on January 29.

According to reports, Imtiyaz committed the crime angry over the victim breaking up with him. She had reportedly severed ties with him after he refused to marry her because of her faith.

The police said that the victim had been in a relationship with Imtiyaz since 2021, but she stopped responding to the accused’s calls and messages after he refused to marry her. This apparently enraged Imtiyaz, who called up the victim and asked her to meet him at a hotel named Kashimira lodge on Mira Road. The accused threatened to circulate private photographs and videos of the woman if she failed to turn up. Scared at his threats, she agreed to meet him on January 29.

Imitiyaz Chaudhary allegedly sexually assaulted her at the hotel and began spitting on the floor of the room forcing her to lick it in order to torment and punish her for breaking their relationship.

Later, the accused released the victim on the condition that she will not tell anybody about her ordeal and not approach the police. He threatened her with death if she didn’t comply with his demands. The woman, however, went to Kashimira police station with a friend and a social activist and reported the assault.

Based on the victim’s statement, the Kashimira police registered an FIR against Imtiyaz Chaudhary on February 1, 2023, under sections 376 (rape), 377 (sodomy), 354-B (assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to disrobe), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.

“After learning that an FIR had been registered against him, Imtiyaz switched off his mobile and has been on the run. He sometimes switches on his cell phone and has been continuously changing his location. He is active on social media. Our team has been chasing him, and soon we will arrest him,” a police officer from Kashimira police station had said before the accused was arrested.

“We have traced the accused and are in the process of arresting him. The statements of the hotel staff have also been recorded,” another police officer from Kashimira police station was quoted as saying.

Is Vijay Sethupathi Antagonizing Sri Lankan Tamils Again In Farzi?

Disclaimer: Spoilers ahead about Farzi series

After ‘800’ movie controversy, actor Vijay Sethupathi has been caught yet again portraying Sri Lankan Tamils in a negative light in his recently released web series.

Farzi is a 2023 Indian Hindi-language black comedy crime thriller television series about counterfeit money created, produced and directed by Raj & DK. It stars Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi, Kay Kay Menon, Raashii Khanna and Bhuvan Arora. The web series was released on Amazon Prime OTT on February 10th.

The Farzi web series is set in the same universe as Raj and DK’s The Family Man. Soon after the release of Manoj Bajpayee and Samantha Akkineni’s The Family Man 2’s trailer, the web series landed in trouble as it ended up upsetting a certain section of people who felt that the show is trying to portray Tamil people in a negative light. The show is accused of misrepresenting the Eelam Tamil community in Sri Lanka and the LTTE organization.

Some people even wanted the show to be banned. According to them, the show contains insults and insinuations against Tamil rebels and also portrayal of Tamil people.

https://twitter.com/4m_raj/status/1401153769375559680?s=20&t=CTXNOt1Tl804vQbDamUbgw

In this situation, actor Vijay Sethupathi, who plays a special task force officer in the recently released web series Farzi, gives a lead in the series that he might act in the future series of controversial web series Family Man.

In Farzi episode 4, Vijay Sethupathi, who plays Michael, speaks with Ajit (Vijay Vikram Singh) and Puneet (Aritro Rudraneil), who work as computer engineers in the TASC (Threat Analysis and Surveillance Cell) of the Family Man web series.

He asks,”Do you have a lighter?” After lighting his cigarette using Ajit’s cigarette, Michael asks,” Is Tiwari (Manoj Bajpayee-lead actor of Family Man) here?”. As Ajith and Puneet work in a secret agency (TASC) and do not want to reveal their identity to a stranger Micheal, they will act as if they do not know Tiwari. Later, Michael departs, telling Puneet, “Tell Tiwari that Michael said hi.”

As the director gives a clear lead, this is a clear indication that Michael (Vijay Sethupathi) already knows Tiwari (Manoj Bajpayee) and will be sharing the screen in the future.

In another episode of Farzi, Tamil actor Udhay Mahesh who plays the role of ‘Chellam Sir’ in Family Man, will give intelligence input to Michael (Vijay Sethupathi) about the right hand of leader of counterfeit currency Mafia.

In another episode, Michael (Vjay Sethupathi) will try to prevent the entry of a ₹20000 crore ‘Super note,’ a type of perfect counterfeit note, into India. Michael will inform his teammates that the counterfeit currency mafia will attempt to bring the ₹20000 crore currency notes into India via Sri Lanka, and that security in Rameshwaram must be increased.

While there are numerous points of entry into India via Tamil Nadu, one must understand why Vijay Sethupathi directed his teammates to beef up security at Rameshwaram. Rameshwaram is the first point of entry for Sri Lankan Tamils fleeing to India as refugees.

Several films have depicted Sri Lankan Tamils as drug smugglers and precious item smugglers, and with the proceeds they used to fund LTTE (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam) groups. Fringe groups in Tamil Nadu like Naam Tamilar, Tamil Desiya Periyakkam and others have always been opposed to portraying Sri Lankan Tamils as smugglers.

One such movie in which Sri Lankan Tamils were portrayed as smugglers is the actor Dhanush starring ‘Jagame Thanthiram’. In this movie, Sri Lankan Tamils will be shown as smugglers and the proceeds will be used to fight gangsters in the United Kingdom.

The film received criticism from both Indian Tamils and Tamils living abroad for stereotyping Sri Lankan Tamils as smugglers.

And this attempt by Vijay Sethupathi showing Rameshwaram as the entry point of counterfeit currency is seen as the direct attack on Sri Lankan Tamils.

It should also be noted that the Trichy special camp has recently been in the news, as its inmates, particularly Sri Lankan Tamils, have been linked to the international drug mafia, and several inmates have been raided and arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

Vijay Sethupathi And ‘800’ Movie Controversy

The film, titled 800, was marred by controversy due to Vijay Sethupathi’s casting as Muthiah Muralitharan, who is thought to have supported the Sri Lankan government during the civil war with the LTTE.

Following the outrage of Tamil nationalists and a section of Tamil Nadu’s film personalities and politicians, actor Vijay Sethupathi had decided to withdraw from th biopic of the Sri Lankan cricketer.

Though Muthiah Muralitharan tried to explain his case, claiming that he never treated Eelam Tamils with disrespect citing his own Tamil origin, many point to footage and news reports indicating the cricketer’s seemingly supportive stand for Gotabaya Rajapaksa, the island nation’s then President who was the wartime defence secretary, and other remarks made near the end of the civil war.

In Tamil Nadu, film personalities such as Bharathiraja, Ameer, Thamarai, and Cheran, as well as a state minister, Kadambur C Raju, urged Vijay Sethupathi to withdraw from the project “considering Tamil people’s sentiments.”

Several people have questioned Vijay Sethupathi’s ethnicity, as he is from the Telugu-speaking Naidu caste. They claimed that because he is not Tamil, actor Vijay Sethupathi will not understand the feelings of Tamils.

The Hypocrisy

It should also be noted that prior to the release of Farzi, a fan club allegedly affiliated with Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi had posted racist and xenophobic wall posters throughout Madurai district, urging native Tamil Nadu people to boycott North Indians. No clarification or a condemnation came from Vijay Sethupathi.

After the image of anti-North Indian posters went viral in social media, many netizens questioned Sethupathi fans who had pasted anti-North Indian posters, given that their favorite actor is now appearing in a slew of North Indian Hindi films such as Mumbaikar, Jawan, and Merry Christmas.

In addition, Vijay Sethupathi’s new Hindi web series Farzi, in which he co-stars with Shahid Kapoor, has already been released.

So, Vijay Sethupathi will go in search of better opportunities and work with Hindi folks to mint money. Many Tamil people work in different states and different countries.

What if they start to boycott Tamils? Are the anti-North Indian posters a ploy to shift focus away from his controversial portrayal of Tamils?

Vijay Sethupathi’s Quest For A Hit Film

Though Vijay Sethupathi’s films have been marred by controversy, the alleged actor is trying hard to deliver a hit film, as his last hit as the lead actor was ’96,’ which was released in 2018.

His flop films as a lead actor since 2018 include Seethakathi, Sindhubath, Sangatamizhan, Laabam, Thuglaq Darbar, Annabelle Subramanium, Kadaisi Vivasayi, Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, Maamanithan, and DSP.

These films turned out to be not only financial disasters but also many of them were pathetic in storyline.

Is Vijay Sethupathi deliberately choosing controversial scripts now to find his lost footing?

Ignorance Or Hit Job? Dravidian Stockist Journos Peddle Misinformation About Repo Rate Hike

Another Dravidian Stockist journalist spread misinformation about the Repo rate hike, attempting to emotionally provoke people and conceal the DMK’s rate hike affecting textile industries.

The Reserve Bank of India’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) raised the key policy rate, the repo rate, or the rate at which the RBI lends funds to banks, by 25 basis points to 6.50 percent on Wednesday (9 February 2023) in an effort to contain retail inflation. The RBI decision is expected to increase the cost of all external benchmark-linked (based on the repo rate) loans immediately.

It should be noted that the interest rate cycle is closely related to the economic or trade cycle. In theory, movements in interest rates should mirror the economic cycle. If the economy is growing strongly and inflationary pressures increasing – Central Banks will increase interest rates to slow down the economy and prevent inflation. If the economy enters into recession with falling inflation and rising unemployment – Central Banks will cut interest rates to provide an economic stimulus to try and increase the rate of economic growth.

Following the rate hike, the DMK IT wing and DMK supporters masquerading as journalists spread misinformation about the rate hike. In one such attempt, Puthiya Thalaimurai journalist Niranjan Kumar said, referring to the rate hike, “Let the dream of buying a house remain a dream till the end.”

Lakshmi Subramanian, the senior correspondent of The Week, is the latest Dravidian Stockist journalist spreading misinformation about the Repo rate hike. On Friday, she took to Twitter to spread misinformation about the rate hike. She stated, “The interest rate on a home loan is 11%. You will not have a good life,” and attempted to incite people’s emotions against the BJP.

Though increasing interest rates to control inflation is a normal procedure, and central banks all over the world are doing so, a journalist who should know better is using it as an emotional tool to spread misinformation about rate hikes.

Also, in the United States, which has lower average inflation than India, the Federal Reserve has raised interest rates from 0.25% to 4.75%, a 4.5% increase from the low during the COVID pandemic. However, the RBI raised interest rates from 4% to 6.25%, an increase of only 2.25% from the COVID low, demonstrating that the BJP government has effectively controlled inflation in comparison to the US.

During the previous Congress regime, the interest rate hike cycle saw a peak of 9% in July 2008 and 8% in January 2014.

Several users also questioned Lakshmi Subramanian on where she obtained her home loan, as many banks offer home loans starting at 8.5%, raising the question of whether she actually has a home loan or just said it to insinuate hatred against the BJP.

Several users stated that they, too, have a home loan and do not pay the 11% interest rate. Home loans are typically the least expensive of all loans because banks have the authority to seize the property if the borrower defaults. With the RBI Repo rate at 6.25%, the cheapest of all loans, the home loan, cannot be 11%, as stated by Dravidian Stockist journalist Lakshmi Subramanian.

Some Twitter users claimed that Lakshmi Subramanian’s tweet was a ploy to divert attention away from the power tariff hike faced by Tamil Nadu’s textile industry and that the Erode East which is going for the by-election is known for its textile industry. They claimed she tried to save the DMK government, which is facing its first by-election.

Unchallenged Muslim Representation In AP’s Hindu Majority Constituencies

In a democracy, everyone has the right to vote regardless of caste, creed, religion and language. But political parties identify voters based on caste and religion to estimate their chances of victory and apply the same formula for the selection of candidates. The ultimate goal of parties is to come into power by making their candidates win.

But in contravention to the above-said political formula in Andhra Pradesh, the two key constituencies where one group has been in the majority for more than 30 years, the minority group is taking over the power, which shows how weak the Majority vote bank is. Though Hindus are the majority in those two assembly constituencies, there is not a Hindu MLA for more than 30 years, and many times, Hindu candidates did not even contest. One is Guntur East Constituency, the closest urban area to the state capital. The other is the Kadapa Constituency, which is also famous as ‘Devuni Gadapa’ (the Entrance of the Tirumala God’s Premises ) in the Rayalaseema region.

K. Sivananda Reddy was elected from the Congress party in 1989 and can be remembered as the last Hindu MLA of the Kadapa Assembly Constituency. In the 1994 and 1999 elections, Telugu Desam Party’s candidate, DR. S.A. Khaleel Basha, was elected MLA. After that, Ahamadulla Mohammad Syed from the Congress party won as MLA in the 2004 and 2009 elections, and Amzath Basha Shaik Bepari from YCP won in the 2014 and 2019 assembly elections successively. In the 2019 assembly elections, only Muslim candidates from significant parties like Telugu Desam and YCP contested this constituency.

The condition of Hindu politicians belonging to significant parties in the Guntur East constituency is even more awful. For the past 37 years, the major parties have not even issued MLA tickets to Hindu candidates in the Guntur East constituency during assembly elections, even though Hindus are in the majority population. The area, which was the Guntur-1 constituency from 1955 to 2009, became the Guntur East constituency with some minor changes through the Parliament and Assembly Constituencies Redistricting Act of 2008.

In the 1983 assembly elections, NT Rama Rao of the Telugu Desam Party offered an MLA ticket to Umar Khan Pathan, and he won that election. Since then, it has become a trend for the main political parties like Congress and TDP to offer tickets to candidates from the Muslim community.

Following the political tradition, in the assembly elections held in 1985, the Telugu Desam Party gave a ticket to Sheikh Syed Saheb, while the Congress fielded Mohammed Jani. Both also stood as MLA candidates from Congress and TDP in the 1989 elections. Mohammed Jani from Congress and Ziauddin from TDP stood as MLA candidates in 1994 and 1999 assembly elections. In the 2004 elections, Sheikh Shubhani of Congress won against Ziauddin of TDP.

In the 2009 assembly elections, the newly formed Praja Rajyam Party adopted the same policy. Like Congress and TDP, their party also fielded a Muslim candidate in the election. In the 2014 election, Maddala Giridhar Rao contested from TDP but was defeated by Mustafa Sheikh of YCP by a narrow margin. The Janasena party, formed in 2019, has also fielded a Muslim candidate in this constituency. Indira Congress candidate Lingamshetty Ishwar Rao, who won against Janata Party candidate Abdullah Khan Mohammad in 1978, is still remembered by the people as the last Hindu MLA of Guntur East Constituency.

Clearly, political parties, who estimate their votes caste-wise and religion-wise, field their candidates accordingly to gain political gain and win the elections. But here, in the case of Guntur East and Kadapa assembly constituencies, it is noteworthy that the main parties are not even giving tickets to Hindus, who are in the majority. It is because of their lack of unity as they are divided by party & caste, and as a result, a majority vote bank is not developed.

If this situation continues and the same policy spreads to other assembly and parliament constituencies, there may not be representatives representing Hindus. And Hindus may not have political power. Power aside, at least not the opportunity.

Union Health Minister Exposes DMK MP TR Baalu’s Half-Truths Regarding AIIMS Madurai

The Union Health Minister once again exposed in parliament the DMK leaders’ false claims about AIIM Madurai.

DMK MP and party’s Parliamentary leader TR Baalu raised questions regarding AIIMS Madurai in the ongoing session of the Parliament.

DMK MP TR Balu asked Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Mansukh Mandaviya in his question: “I have two pertinent questions about the Ministry of Health. How many colleges are operating without infrastructure, and how many colleges has the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for but has yet to start?”

While Baalu did not mention ‘Madurai AIIMS’ in his question, Mandaviya assumed he was asking about it because the DMK and its alliance partners in the state have repeatedly claimed that the central government has failed to fulfil its promise to build an AIIMS in Madurai despite Prime Minister Narendra Modi laying the foundation stone in 2019.

Responding to TR Balu’s question, Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya said, “Politics can be done on any issue. The politics which is being done here are misdirecting from the question regarding Madurai AIIMS. The classes for students at Madurai AIIMS have already begun; just the infrastructure is not present. Why are you giving the wrong information to the people of Tamil Nadu?”

He elaborated on the reasons for the delay and the status of work, saying that the state government did not allot land on time, which has resulted in cost escalation, and that the project was funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), but Japanese officials were unable to visit the site for two years due to the coronavirus pandemic. He also stated that the Modi government has already allocated ₹1900 crore for the project and that the tendering process is currently underway.

The Health Minister also stated that the DMK MPs were making a hue and cry because he had taken action against colleges which did not have proper infrastructure and faculties.

The video, which includes a Tamil translation of the conversation between Union Health Minister and DMK MP TR Balu, was shared by Tamil Nadu BJP president Annamalai in order to expose the DMK’s lies about AIIMS Madurai. He criticized DMK saying, “For DMK Partymen, personal business interests always take precedence over public welfare. Hon Minister of Health Thiru @mansukhmandviya avl tears apart the attempt of DMK MP TR Baalu trying to misguide the people of TN, as usual in Arivalayam style!”

The Many Sins Of Nehru

Jawaharlal Nehru is widely regarded as the architect of modern India. He is extolled as the man who chiselled India’s democratic institutions and laid the foundations for it become a vibrant democracy.

Though true in parts, he is not the only man who deserves credit for India being a success story today. But he is definitely elemental behind many of the challenges that India faces today. His legacy has been leaving India with a legacy of problems. Most criticize his (in)actions and (in)decisions as the root cause of several current issues in the country. Let’s take a look at some of the Himalayan blunders committed by Nehru.

1. Kashmir Conflict: Nehru’s left-leaning ideology and close friendship with Sheikh Abdullah have been blamed for the ongoing issue of Kashmir. The 1948 Pakistani occupation of Jammu and Kashmir and the subsequent decision to take the issue to the UN have been cited as factors that have cost India a significant amount of blood, money, and land disputes. This has also led to strained foreign relationships with Pakistan and China.

2. Article 370: The introduction of Article 370 granting special status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir has been criticized for going against the advice of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and being influenced by Nehru’s relationship with Sheikh Abdullah.

3.Hyderabad Issue: Nehru’s apparent lack of interest in keeping the state as part of India. It was Sardar Patel who planned and executed “operation Polo,” which resulted in the surrender of the Nizam to India. Nehru was reportedly angry with Patel’s actions.

4. China War: The 1962 China war is also a significant event in Nehru’s legacy, with some accusing him of ignoring the Chinese invasion of northeast India. Despite India’s friendship with China, the latter referred to Nehru as a “lackey” of the British and the Americans and used disparaging language against India at the UN. The attack resulted in the massacre of around 40,000 people and the formation of separatist groups like ULFA and BODO against India.

5. Rejection of Permanent UN Membership: In the international sphere, Nehru’s decision to reject permanent membership in the UN has also been criticized. India was offered a permanent seat in the UN in 1950, and again in 1955 by Russia, but Nehru declined both offers. This resulted in China being granted the permanent seat instead.

6. Kabo Valley Gifting: Nehru’s gifting of Manipur’s Kabo valley to Burma and the lease of Coco Island to the British, who then leased it to the Burmese and eventually to China. The refusal to take over the Gwadar enclave from the Sultan of Oman, which was later sold to Pakistan and eventually to China, has also been criticized for giving China a strategic advantage in keeping Indian naval activities under surveillance.

7. Coco Island Lease: Nehru’s lease of Coco Island to the British, which was later leased to the Burmese and eventually to China, has been criticized.

8. Gwadar Enclave Refusal: In 1950, the Sultan of Oman offered the Gwadar enclave to India for a small amount, but Nehru declined the offer and sold it to Pakistan instead. China later gained control of the port and is now using it to monitor Indian naval activities in the Persian Gulf, the Gulf of Aden, Central Asia and South Asia.

9. Refused Balochistan Annexation: Jawaharlal Nehru’s refusal to accept Balochistan’s offer of accession to India, despite the region’s desire to join, led to Pakistan’s eventual invasion of the area. This has played a significant role in the ongoing problems faced by Balochistan.

10. Rejected Nepal Annexation: King Tribhuvan Bir Bikram Shah of Nepal had proposed that Nepal become a part of India as a province. However, Nehru rejected the offer and emphasized that Nepal must remain an independent nation.

11. Delayed Goa’s Freedom: Despite multiple appeals to the United Nations, Nehru failed to take action to secure the independence of Goa from Portuguese rule. It took a military operation by India in 1961 to finally free the region from Portuguese control.

12. Panchaseel Agreement: The agreement between India and China, known as the Panchaseel, effectively recognized China’s claim over Tibet as its territory instead of an independent nation. This has added fuel to the ongoing border dispute between India and China.

13. Mirpur Massacre: During the Partition of 1947, an estimated 18,000 Hindus and Sikhs were killed, and 3,500 were wounded in the worst massacre in Indian history. Despite being blamed on Sheikh Abdullah’s refusal to allow the Indian army to intervene, Nehru failed to take any preventive measures.

14. Opposed Somnath Temple Restoration: Sardar Vallabhai Patel had a desire to restore the Somnath temple, which had been destroyed by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. Nehru, however, opposed the project, calling it “Hindu revivalism”. Patel eventually succeeded in restoring the temple.

15. Linguistic Regional Division: Nehru’s decision to create the state of Andhra Pradesh from the Madras Presidency, despite objections from leaders such as Sardar Patel and Rajendra Prasad, led to linguistic tensions and further demands for separation based on language.

16. Education Failure: Nehru’s lack of emphasis on promoting primary education has resulted in a significant portion of India’s population remaining uneducated, hindering the country’s growth and development.

17. Refusal of US Nuclear Assistance: Nehru rejected the US offer to help India detonate a nuclear device, which could have made India the first Asian country to go nuclear ahead of China. This decision has resulted in India’s current struggles to enter the Nuclear Suppliers Group.

18. State-Controlled Economy: Nehru followed Soviet-style economic policies, where the state controlled industries and businesses, leading to high taxes and a lack of wealth among the citizens. This stifled the spirit of entrepreneurship and encouraged dependence on the state.

19. Failure to Address Corruption: Nehru frequently ignored instances of corruption when the culprits were his allies, perpetuating a culture of corruption and hindering efforts to combat it.

Nehru’s legacy is one of missed opportunities and poor decisions. His actions have had lasting negative consequences for the country. It is important to critically evaluate and learn from the mistakes of the past in order to create a brighter future for India.

Parody Version Of “Favourite Things” Song Taking Jibes At Congress-DMK Goes Viral

A video posted on Twitter by an anonymous handle taking jibes at Rahul Gandhi, Dayanidhi Maran, and Trichy Siiva and featuring the edited version of the song “Favorite Things” from the English film “Sound of Music” has gone viral on social media. The lyrics have been edited to reflect the current political situation.

The video was posted by the Twitter handle @indhavaainko, which posts political satire by tweaking lyrics of famous film songs.

Here’s how the parody version of Favourite Things goes: “Hugging and Kissing the sister in public. Write up an article praising the gimmick. Youth Icon coming off ages for years.”

The lines were in reference to Rahul Gandhi’s actions at a public meeting in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, where he grabbed his sister Priyanka Gandhi and kissed her on the cheeks. Though Rahul Gandhi’s actions were not well received by the public, India Today published an article describing them as “Cute Moments.” The lyrics also poked fun at India Today for long promoting Rahul Gandhi as a youth icon.

The lyrics mentioned,”Walk with anti-nationals and urban Naxals. Dirty rotten scoundrels and also rascals”, denouncing Rahul Gandhi for siding with anti-Hindu and anti-Brahmin Pastor George Ponnaiya and Periyarist Perumal Murugan.

The song also took a dig at Rahul Gandhi for halting the Bharat Jodo Yatra for the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

In reference to Prime Minister Modi’s electrifying speech in Parliament a few days ago, the lyrics stated that Rahul Gandhi’s 4,000-kilometer yatra was demolished by Modi’s 40-minute speech.

The lyric also poked fun at DMK members Tiruchy Siva and Dayanidhi Maran, who both respectively complained about Upma and quorum in Parliament.
