With just a few months to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP in Tamil Nadu is gearing up to enhance the reach of the party across the state.
A significant initiative aimed at reinvigorating their organizational base has been launched to galvanize party supporters and voters. The initiative, named ‘Kooduvom Kootuvom’, was kickstarted which saw an impressive turnout, surpassing 25,000 locations across Tamil Nadu and involving over 25,000 individuals.
The primary objective of ‘Kooduvom Kootuvom’ is to re-engage those who had previously drifted away from active involvement in organizational efforts. More than 50,000 individuals, including 1,000 from each district, are being reconnected through this event. Their information was meticulously collected through online forms, capturing crucial details such as names, addresses, prior organizational roles, contact numbers, and email addresses.
Notably, the meetings held at these numerous locations garnered participation from a staggering number exceeding five lakh people. This included a diverse mix of office-bearers, workers, and the general public associated with Sangh Parivar organizations, encompassing the BJP-RSS.
Looking forward, the BJP functionary expressed intentions to broaden the engagement, targeting both reinvigorated members and fresh enthusiasts keen on contributing to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The next phase of the initiative will involve organizing training camps for those stepping up for election duties. Proficient participants will be entrusted with pivotal responsibilities, aiming to galvanize their efforts towards securing victory for the BJP in the impending Lok Sabha elections.
The party has also announced that it would install 100 flag poles every day for 100 days across Tamil Nadu. This initiative too is seen as an attempt to penetrate the party into the hinterlands.
