An 18-year-old woman was allegedly stabbed multiple times by her former boyfriend inside her residence at Ramagondanahalli in Bengaluru after she married another man, as reported in Times Now.
According to the police, the accused, identified as 18-year-old Bande Nawaz, was previously in a relationship with the victim, Nandini Das. Investigators said Nawaz was reportedly upset over her marriage to another person.
Police said the accused allegedly went to Nandini’s house and attacked her with a knife, inflicting multiple stab injuries on her neck, hands, ribs, and thighs. After the assault, he allegedly attempted suicide by stabbing himself in the neck.
Both were rushed to separate hospitals for treatment. Nandini is undergoing treatment at Manipal Hospital, while Nawaz has been admitted to Vydehi Hospital.
Police have registered a case under Section 109 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (attempt to murder). Further investigation is underway.
Triple Murder In KR Puram Last Month
The incident comes weeks after another stabbing case in Bengaluru in which three members of a family were allegedly murdered inside an apartment in KR Puram.
The incident occurred last month at an apartment in Seeganahalli under the jurisdiction of the KR Puram Police Station.
The deceased were identified as 52-year-old Soma Sundar, 48-year-old Muthu Laxmi, and their 19-year-old daughter, Supriya.
According to the police, the accused had been living with the victims’ elder daughter for the previous two months. On the evening of the incident, the three victims allegedly went to the accused’s flat, where an argument is believed to have broken out.
Investigators suspect the accused stabbed all three victims multiple times before fleeing the scene.
Police said the exact motive behind the killings has not yet been established. Investigators are examining the nature of the accused’s relationship with the victims’ elder daughter and the circumstances that led to the murders.
Multiple police teams have been formed to trace and arrest the absconding accused. Police stated that further details would be released after he is taken into custody and questioned.
