A.G. Perarivalan, a terrorist convicted for assassinating former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi has been invited by the Asian College of Journalism to deliver a guest lecture.
Asian College of Journalism (ACJ) based in Chennai, is considered as one of the top institutions in the country for media studies. It comes under the aegis of the Media Development Foundation headed by journalist Sashi Kumar. The Hindu’s N. Ram is also a founding trustee of the Media Development Foundation.
Project 39 A, an initiative of National Law University Delhi, which also has a chapter at ACJ is organizing an annual guest lecture for which the convicted terrorist, who was recently released by the Supreme Court using special powers, has been invited.
The lecture of the convicted terrorist which has been titled “The denial of justice and a quest unfinished” is scheduled to take place at the MS Subulakshmi audiotorium of the college on 17 December 2022.
