A 5-year-old girl from Madhya Pradesh has set a world record by naming 150 flags and capitals in just 4 minutes. Presha, 5, is the daughter of Bharat and Sangeetha Khemani from Ujjain, MP. Her relatives had gifted her a book that described various parts of the world, their flags and capitals, so as to keep her busy during the coronavirus lockdown. This had piqued her interest, and she had started keenly memorizing the contents of the book.
Presha has now won the title of ‘Youngest Kid to Identify Flags and Country Names’ in the World Records India Book. According to her parents, she is inclined towards books and geography and made use of the coronavirus lockdown to expand her knowledge about many countries.
“Presha, during the seven-week lockdown, learnt about 150 countries, their capitals and their flags thoroughly in a strategic manner. Each week, she took one continent, studied about the countries and the flags of this continent, revised it and so on. Eventually, in seven weeks she was thorough with the names and capitals of different countries situated in seven continents of the world,” her father was quoted saying in a report by IANS.
The girl, who has named 150 countries and their capitals in 4 minutes and 17 seconds, has set a new world record. Prasha’s next goal is to learn the names of various countries’ coins and languages, and the names of Prime Ministers and Presidents of those countries.
