In a recent interview with journalist Ranagaraj Pandey, Indian billionaire business magnate Sridar Vembu, who is the founder and CEO of Zoho Corporation, commended the Modi government for its accomplishments. Journalist Rangaraj Pandey, tactfully delving into the political realm, posed a question about Vembu’s stance if approached as a BJP-leaning individual. In response, Sridhar Vembu asserted, “I am a well-wisher of Modi, as he is doing many commendable things. From my perspective, and being aware of the situation outside India, the country’s global image has significantly improved in recent years.”
Vembu took the opportunity to highlight a diplomatic success, emphasizing the release of eight Indian nationals by the Qatar government, who had previously faced the death penalty. He underscored the importance of such power projection on the international stage.
Applauding the transparency observed in government tenders, especially from a businessman’s standpoint, Vembu acknowledged the positive strides made in digitization and the overall infrastructure of the country. Stressing that his viewpoint was more administrative than political, he concluded it by expressing his appreciation for the improvements witnessed under the Modi government.
